16 YEARS LATER- PETER'S POV:
"Hey hun, he's here," my mom said as she entered my room and I looked up from my controller and nodded. I sighed as I got up from my chair and walked over to my mom and she gave me a comforting hug. She smelt like brownies which made me chuckle to myself.

My real father... After 16 years I finally get to meet my half-sister and my biological father. Destiny and Scott Harrington.

"Nicole, I'm going to take Alexis to soccer and I'll be back as soon as I can," my dad said and she nodded and he gave her a peck on the cheek and walked away. I think of Dylan as my real dad cause he's been there for me through so much and he treats me as if he was my real father. Alexis is my 6-year-old younger sister and Jason is my 14-year-old brother.

"Okay, drive safe and be careful it's supposed to rain in an hour so make sure to take an umbrella."

I headed downstairs with my family and when we stepped in the kitchen and I saw a tall man with a black suit on and a stunning girl with their backs faced to us.

"Peter, this is Scott and Destiny," my mom said and put her hands on my shoulders as a sign of protection.

"Hello Peter, I'm not just Scott. I'm your father and this is your sister."

"Hi Peter, it's amazing to finally be able to meet you," Destiny said with a smile.

"You're not my father."

The room went silent. I felt like you could hear crickets and sense everyone's movement in the room. Maybe I shouldn't have been so blunt.

"Excuse me?" Scott asked.

"You told my mom that you didn't want either of us. How does that make you a father?" I asked.

"Cause he is your biological father, Peter. You're his blood," Destiny explained.

"Just cause you're in my blood doesn't mean you're an actual father figure. I already have a dad, I don't need two."

"Well, I'm fighting for custody so you might have to learn to have two father figures," I heard and I felt my mom's heart sink but also mine did too.

"What are you talking about Scott," my mom asked.

"I'm not missing anymore of my son's life than I already have."

"It was your decision to give me full custody! You told me you didn't want anything to do with my son or myself!" My mom cried out as I heard the garage door slam shut.

"Get out of my house, now."

My dad was hugging my mom as she started to cry and my dad had an evil glare that I've never seen before. If you hurt his family and make my mom cry you have another thing coming.

"You'll be receiving a letter in the mail soon. See you in court," Scott said than walked out with Destiny right behind him.

My mom dropped to the floor like someone shattered her heart into pieces. I ran out of the house and as Scott was opening the door to his Tesla I slammed his door shut.

"You're doing something very selfish right now," I said and Scott faced me.

I saw Jason run out of the house towards me and stood behind me to create a sense of safety.

"Whoever raised you is rotten and should be ashamed of theirselves, which is why you should be grateful that I'm welcoming you into my house," Scott said with a smirk.

"You have a weird way of welcoming someone," Jason spoke out.

"Stay out of this, kid. You don't know anything and you aren't actual blood related siblings," Destiny said.

"For your information you aren't either. Plus, I've been more of a sibling to him than you have. I read the article you did about how you just want to get Peter back for the money. The money you'll get from my parents and the court case," Jason said.

"You kids know nothing about anything, you're just kids."

"Even if I'm just a kid, I'll be more of a man than you will ever be. I won't abandon my wife and unborn child just because you don't have any self esteem and have trust issues. But trust me, I don't want to be anything like you, cause you're not my father," I said and put my arm over Jason and walked up the driveway.

"See you in court, Peter!" I heard Scott yell after me.

"Head forward, lets go," Jason said and I nodded and kept walking.

"As the judge of this court case I have decided the verdict of Jackson v. Harrington," the judge spoke and I sighed.

"Before you make your final verdict, may I say something?" I spoke out quickly.

"I'm going to have to ask you to make it quickly, son. I have a lot of hearings this afternoon," the judge said and I nodded as I stepped forward.

"Judge Burton, this room is very divided today. This side is where I grew up and want to stay, with friends and family packed in just to witness this and support my family. This side is people I just met, I don't know who they are and it's just them two with their lawyer. I have no respect for Scott as a father because I don't see him as my father because he's not. My father is Dylan Jackson, my name is Peter Isacc Jackson, Jackson. If you place me in a home where I don't belong and I'm just a symbol of wealth and greed, you have failed not only me but also this side of the room. I hope you take my opinion into the choice that will impact the rest of my life. Thank you," I said and stepped back.

"Thank you Peter, now my final verdict in the Jackson v. Harrington case is... Nicole Jackson and Dylan Jackson will have full custody of Peter Jackson-," Judge Burton said and the room erupted in happiness before he could finish his sentence. My mom and dad ran over to me and hugged me with tears in their eyes.

"Peter, I love you so much," my mom said and kissed my forehead.

"I love you too," I said and wrapped them in an embrace.

This is my family. No one or thing can change that.
