Five-
I slammed my hand down on my alarm clock as it rang loudly in my face.
"Shut up, I hate you," I hissed quietly at it before getting up. I groaned out loud when I thought about seeing people.
I took a shower, got dressed in a Metallica shirt and black skinny jeans with my converse, did my hair and eyeliner, grabbed my bag and zip-up hoodie before I headed downstairs and got cereal for me and my brothers. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out and looked at a text from Daniel.
Dennis : Good morning. Have a good day.
I replied with a small smile.
Morning. You too, and I'll try, see ya
Dennis : Cool(:
I couldn't help but smile a little. It was unexpected. Then I Gabe both my dogs a treat and love before I walked out the door.
I got my brothers in the car with me and dropped them off before I drove off to school myself. Drew called me while I drove. I picked up my phone and answered.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Dave is. He's in the office," he said. I raised an eyebrow to myself.
"Why?" I asked.
"He punched a guy in the nose that was calling you a freak," he said. I laughed.
"Okay, I'm almost there," I said.
As I got to the school, I made my way to the office. I walked in and sat beside David on a chair. He had a black eye and a bloody fist.
"So. Got protective didn't you?" I asked. He looked and me and gave me a pained smile. I grabbed his unbloody hand and held it.
"He was saying a bunch of shit about you and the band," he muttered, squeezing my hand. Dave was my best friend. Both him and Drew.
"Its okay," I said. He held my hand tighter before letting go.
"No, its not. I hate it," he said. I nodded and then he got called back to the principles office. I left the office then.
I walked to my locker and opened in, got what I needed and closed it. I turned around to run into a body.
"Gah!" I said, pulling back. I looked up at Dennis . He laughed as he steadied me, holding the tops of my arms.
"You alright?" he asked. I chuckled and nodded. He handed me my binder, which I dropped on the floor, spilling some of my drawings. I bent to pick them up, but not before Johnathan, the top-jock of the football team, grabbed one.
"What's up with the emo drawings freak?" he spat at me. I reached for my drawing but he yanked it out of my reach.
"Give it back, you bastard," I hissed. He pushed me aside, almost making me hit my head on a locker, and looked at me.
"Why? You freak," he laughed. Dennis punched his gut then yanked the picture out of his hand, handing it back to me.
"Don't touch her," he growled. He wrapped an arm around me, pulling me into his side and walked with me outside.
"Sorry about that. I think your drawings were pretty cool, honestly," he told me. I smiled. He had removed his arm, but still stood close to me.
"Thanks," I said. He smiled crookedly.
