Fifteen-

I yawned and stretched my arms over my head as I opened my eyes to see Dave's cat, Simba, sleeping on the floor in front of me. For a moment, I was a little confused, but then memories of the previous night came back into my brain. I checked the time on my phone. Ten fifteen. Ugh. I lifted my head to see Dave was obviously still asleep, because I couldn't hear or see him. I smiled evilly to myself and for up to walk into the kitchen. I filled a large cup with cold water before I made my way up to Dave's room. I walked in and sure enough, he did make it to his bed.

He looked so peaceful... I didn't like it.

Chuckling, I poured the water over his head and ran out the room just as he jumped awake with a shriek. I could hear him from downstairs. He sounded pissed. I ran to hide somewhere because, knowing Dave, he was going to want to get me back.

"Jay?! Where are you?!" he roared. I smirked to myself as he went to search the house. I got out from my hiding spot and sat on the couch, turning on the TV. I heard Dave walk back into the room.

"You," he said accusingly. I looked behind me at him innocently.

"Me?" I asked, faking shock.

"Yes, you. You poured ice cold water on me in my sleep!" he cried.

"I don't recall," I said. Dave narrowed his eyes.

"I was there. I saw you!" he said. I laughed and raised my hands in surrender.

"Okay okay! You got me!" I said. Dave pointed at me with a determined face.

"I gonna get you. I'm gonna get you back, Phenoix!" he yelled. I laughed and rolled onto the floor, holding my sides. Dave only kept his determined face as he stalked into the kitchen. I didn't have work today since the store was closed today due to restocking.

I picked up his cat and held him in my lap, scratching behind his ears. Dave came back in, and threw a can of Coca Cola at me.

I looked over at him. "So tell me why you named your cat after the lion in the Lion King?" I asked. Dave shrugged.

"Because he looks like a Simba," he said simply. I looked down at the fluffy, golden colored cat in my lap and nodded.

"He actually dose," I said. I looked back up to see Dave starting intently at me.

"Dave! You don't have heat vision, you can't melt my brain!" I said. Dave looked down, defeated.

"Damn human eyeballs," he muttered. I chuckled and and changed the channel to Adventure Time.

"Oh hell yes!" Dave and I both yelled. We sang along with the intro of the show, then laughed at each other.

"So," I said. Dave looked at me.

"So?"

"So we need to have a band meeting, like now. Today," I said. Dave nodded.

"Okay, why?" he asked.

"You'll see. Call Drew over," I told him. He nodded and pulled out his phone. Twenty minutes later, the three of us sat in Dave's living room.

"So what's up?" Drew asked.

"Well, I decided, that we would do good with a second guitarist. I can't do this by myself. I'll still play, but I need someone to take over the more extreme parts that are difficult to play when I'm trying to perform," I said. They both nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, I think that's a good idea. I mean, we sound awesome the way we are but I think it would be a shit load lot easier on you if we did that," Drew said.
