Denis' POV
I had a terrible headache. My head was pounding so hard I thought I could hear it. I felt something hard beneath me but my head hurt so bad it was hard to think. My eyes were closed and I liked it that way, but then I heard a voice that I knew I recognized very well. I attempted to open my eyes but my body wouldn't let me.
"I just dont.. Know... What to do" The voice spoke in a shaky tone.
I forced my eyes to open and when they finally did, I saw the room was blurry and spinning so I shut them again.
*gasp* " I think he's awake!" I could hear the sound of running footsteps close by. Two hands were placed on my shoulders, "Oh god, please wake up" they whispered. It was a girls voice. I tried to think for a moment, then it clicked.
"Victoria" I thought out loud in a whisper.
"Denis! Yes, it's me! Oh thank goodness your okay!" She pressed her body against mine, causing the pressure to make me feel worse. I moaned and opened my eyes for the second time. Everything was a big blur of motion that made my head hurt intensely. I looked around and saw I was in a dark room with a ceiling fan right above me. There was a desk and a bed and a tiny room that looked like a closet. I was in my bedroom.
"Are you okay?" Victoria asked as she slowly released me. I immediately took in huge gulps of air, not realizing that their was no oxygen in my system at all. I shut my eyes again to keep my head from pounding even more.
"Let me help you up" she insisted, grabbing my hands. I wanted to object but my body didnt let me speak a single word, just take in all the air I was lacking.
She got up and bent over with her hands in mine, then pulled. My upper body barley lifted an inch before falling back. Before my head could hit the ground, Victoria caught it with her hand and set it down gently, letting out a sigh. I felt something cold and a little wet on my forehead, then realized it was an ice pack.
"Your really scaring me, please say something" She pleaded.
"Just leave me here to die" I groaned semi jokingly. I put my hand over my eyes and the other on my stomach.
"Not funny Denis, I spent a whole two hours thinking about calling the ambulance because I thought you were dead! Good thing I checked again. I was actually a little less worried for the other hour that you were out"
I put my hand down and tried looking at her, but it was too dark. "Where are you?"
I heard her footsteps walking away from me, then the lights turned on and made my eyes hurt way more. My vision finally focused and I saw Victoria standing over me with her face covered in dried tears and her hair a mass of tangles.
I grabbed the ice off my head and forced myself up in a sitting position, bracing myself before standing up. I finally got to my feet and grabbed the bed with my free hand when a dizzy spell crossed over me.
I didnt wait before collapsing onto the and covering my face with my hand as I squeezed my eyes shut and opened them again. I felt a small ache of pain on the side of my neck so I traced a hand over it and felt four bumps going downwards.
"What happened to you?" Victoria asked suddenly, sitting besides me on the bed.
I thought about the question for a moment, then it all came at once. I slowly sat up and looked at her in concern.
"Were you having a bed dream last night?" I asked slowly.
"Yeah? How on earth did you know?" She looked so confused. I looked at the time and saw it was already 7:00 A.M.
"I dont know. I was in my room sleeping when I suddenly heard you screaming like you were on fire or something." I looked at the door and saw a huge chunk of wood missing from the wall where the door clicked shut, "I did break the door down. And I also saw you fighting with the air, so when I just barley touched your arm, you swung your fist at my mouth and probably busted it" i touched my lip and felt dry blood. Great.
"Then I tried to calm you down but instead you tried to rip me to shreds with your bare hands" I joked with a little laugh. Victoria didnt even smile. It looked like I told her she killed someone instead.
"uhh, then you woke up and headbutted me really hard. I remember tripping over something and getting the wind knocked out of me when I fell... But that's pretty much it"
"It was... THE most horrific thing.. I have EVER seen!" she shouted, making me wince as my head started to ache again, "Oh, im so sorry" she put a hand over her mouth.
"You don't understand, I woke up and banged my head against yours so hard that you practically went flying. I remember you falling and banging your head on the floor. It was so loud I thought the whole neighborhood could hear it! Then I checked your heart beat and felt nothing so I thought you were dead. I almost passed out with overwhelm-" I put a finger to her lips,
"Im tired, and we have a visitor today..." I told her
"Elijah is going to be all over this" I mumbled.
"What?"
"hehe, nothing"
