Footsteps could still be heard echoing throughout the Tulsa Museum.
Thalia and a handful of the other Museum staff stayed behind late tonight to finish up last-minute preparations for the up and coming Egyptian exhibit. They had worked almost a year on this grand exhibit.

Thalia wanted it to look authentic and real for the people that lived in the city of Tulsa, she also wanted the people to feel like they had step back-through time a thousand years ago in ancient Egypt.

Thalia, was beautiful like an Egyptian goddess herself, standing next to the makeshift limestone walls that were built for this exhibit. The way that her bronzed skin glowed in the fluorescent lighting like gold, to her mysterious cat-like eyes, down to the color of her coal-black hair that fell past her mid-back.

Her coworkers told Thalia several times, she needed to be on display in this exhibit alongside the rest of the ancient artifacts.

As the late evening drew on longer, the rest of the other workers begin to leave out one by one to go home, Ben and Thalia were the only two left working on the exhibit. Ben had stayed behind longer tonight because he knew how much the exhibit meant to Thalia.

Ben wasn't able to fight back the tiredness any-longer, he looks down at his watch, rubs his eyes then walks over next to Thalia, "Hey Thalia, It's almost one o'clock in the morning, I think I'm heading out unless you need me to stay longer?"

"Nah, I'm going to stay a here little while longer Ben, but you can go ahead and go home if you need too."

" Are you sure? I hate leaving you here by yourself Thalia."

"I'll be fine, I stay here all the time by myself Ben, this museum-like Fort Knocks at night, once Micheal locks the doors behind you, I'll be okay. Besides, I can always call upon the Egyptian Gods to protect me." She said to him in a low hypnotic voice.

"Okay, you try not to stay here, and work all night then,  you workaholic, hey I'll see you sometime this afternoon." He said waking out of the exhibit area.

"Bye Ben, see you this afternoon, and be careful." she hollered back at him then began to get back to work, she had only been working a minute or two when she heard someone clear their throat behind her. Thalia stops placing the small Egyptian statue she had in her hands onto the stone table next to the sarcophagus, then turns around meeting the person that stood behind her.

* *~ ~

"Thalia, You look just like an Egyptian goddess standing there, I think you become more beautiful with age. How old are you now? I would say at least over eight hundred years old now, and you don't look a day over twenty." Kane said stepping over closer to her.

Her eyes went wide, then she took in a deep breath to settle her never's before she spoke, "I didn't expect to ever see your face around here Kane," Her voice laced with malice in it, "Ever again, for that matter, after you betrayed my family."

Kane garbed onto her shoulders, "Your family, sacrificed me to Die, to the hands of 'Sekhmet', but she took pity on me, so forgive me Thalia,  if I don't mourn for the loss of your pathetic family."

"So what,  you're here to finish the job then Kane? To kill me now?"

"No dear Thalia, you're more useful to me alive than dead right now," He said dropping his hands from her shoulders, then walking over to the stone table picking up the small statue, "See, I need you to perform the Ritual to call upon 'Sekhment' for me."

"And what if I refuse to do the Ritual Kane?"

"Then my dear Thalia, your fathers' bloodline ends with you here tonight."
