Stephen and I left out that evening to the airport for our trip to the Netherlands. Sydney and Sicily dove us there, just in case trouble would arise. It helped put my mind at ease knowing that we had two powerful witches by our side.Right before I walked into Stephen's plane, Sydney stops me outside on the stairway. "Hey Grace, before you leave Sicily and me made you something," and hands me over a thin platinum cuff bracelet that had emeralds encrusted on the cuff. " Sydney...Oh my, It's so beautiful."
"I'm happy you like it. Now listen to me Grace, don't you dare ever take off that bracelet for any-reason, got it?"
"I won't, I promise," I said as I slip the cuff around my wrist, "Sydney out of curiosity, how come I can't take it off for?"
"Because Grace, that bracelet has been spelled by the two us, it will block out the sounds of the human heartbeat.
Sydney looks toward Sicily then looks back towards me," we both thought since we wouldn't be around you for a while, that this would help you. Ya know, from going all bloodthirsty crazy vampire on everyone," cocking her head down next to her shoulder smiling at me.
"Thank you, I think Sydney, and thanks Sicily. I promise I want to take off." I hugged the two and said goodbye before I stepped into the plane.

Stephen and I sat there quietly in our seats, waiting on the runway for our plane to be cleared for takeoff. Stephen's placed his hand into mine and notices the bracelet on my wrist, "That's a lovely bracelet Grace, where did you get it?"
"Oh, thanks Sydney and Sicily gave it to me, they told me they spelled it, the bracelets suppose to block out the sounds of the human heartbeat. They told me if I wore it, I wouldn't be tempted to kill anyone."
"I see, that's very clever. I wish I'd know the two of them when I'd first went through the changed. It would've made things a lot more bearable for me, but that's all in the past," and brought my hand up to his lips and gave it a genial kiss.

I look outside the window, at the cotton candy clouds as we flew through them dis-centigrade before my eyes.
I'm amazed and a little apprehensive all at the same time tonight, I guess because this is the first time I'd ever been on a plane. I think just knowing that the only thing that separated us from the Ocean below is this plane. Every plane deserters that I'd ever heard or seen about, started to creep it's a way through my mind.
I don't know why I felt so nevus for, it's not like I would die if the plane plummeted down from the sky; Would I?'
No. Stephen told me the only way a vampire could die. is if they were decapitated or had their hearts ripped out from their chest. 'Shit!' Either way, didn't sound like a pleasing way to die.
I felt Stephen lay his chin down onto my shoulder, before he spoke, "What are you thinking about Grace?
I turn my head away from the glass of the window and look at him, meeting my Jade green eyes to his Ocean blue ones, "Stephen, I'm thinking about if this plane crashed into the ocean if we would die, and if we didn't die on impact, how in the world would we stay alive out in the sun without frying like a piece of bacon?"
He 'laughs out' first, then kisses my cheek before he pulls away and answers my questions. "Grace, if this plane crashes right now, you and I wouldn't die from it. And to answer your second question about the sun, we could stay in the deepest dept's of the ocean until nightfall came, then we could re-suffice. Grace there's a lot of perks to being a vampire, we can't drown, we don't need our lungs to live.
