Doyoung sighed. Of course, he expected too much for his mother to reply. He tried not to frown, but he couldn't help the disappointment. Always the second choice, he thought to himself. It was even more impossible to believe they actually had the nerve to ask him a favour after treating him like an outcast.

"Why are you frowning?"

The question broke his thoughts. Doyoung lifted his face from the screen of his phone and towards the girl in front of him. Dressed in the most casual and simple way, with a backpack slung on one shoulder.

"Nothing." He smiled at her instead and took the bag from her. He drove a black Audi R8 and to her, he was a little exaggerating with it. She rolled her eyes at his little show off, but it was his wealth anyway.

As Doyoung got into the car, she was already seated next to him. "Ready?" He asked as if she was a child. "Never was." Jaehee replied before glancing outside the window. Doyoung kept quiet and focused on his driving instead.

It was a random and one sided plan. Doyoung had basically coerced her into a two days trip to Busan, for a little adventure; he described.

It was only then he realised, they barely knew one another but it felt as if they weren't strangers. He was comfortable around her for some reasons though she can be feisty all the time. He didn't know he'd get excited over a quest on finding her real identity. Sometimes, he was confused of himself.

Jaehee on the other hand was in a conflict. She was nervous to go to a place she used to enjoy so much. Now that she thought about it, she was truly nervous. If they find any answers, or maybe a clue. She wouldn't know what to do next.

"If you throw something away, doesn't it mean that you don't want it anymore?"

At her question, Doyoung kept quiet. "Most people throw unwanted things because they find no use in keeping them. The items are now meaningless, old, worn out and should be disposed so that they can replace it with a new one." Jaehee continued.

Though Doyoung wasn't in her shoes, he understood very well how she felt. She was convincing herself that it was a mistake to even try to find her real family, she was afraid they would throw her away again.

"What if it was unintentional? What if you were missing?" He spoke, his eyes on the road though he tried to sneak a look at her many times. "Then, where are the posters?" Jaehee asked before chuckling bitterly.

"I don't think this is a good idea, let's just go back, yeah?" Jaehee looked at him, she was pleading for him to listen. Doyoung was silent for a while, his mind racing to find words of comfort.

His gaze was soft as he stole glances in her direction, he had seen this troubled face before. He knew it all too well when it happened with his friend before. He hesitated to find his real parents too but in the end he regretted it and Doyoung didn't want the same thing to happen to her.

Of course it sounded strange, they met a few days ago yet he was already so involved in her personal matter. However, that was the truth about him. He cared for people too easily, he had a big heart, just not much of an attitude.

"Have you ever had a favourite dress?" Doyoung took her wrist and lifted it up for them both to see, a gesture asking if it was a favourite. A bracelet, with a letter J pendant and a moonstone attached to it. It was what her ex boyfriend gave her, Jaehee hadn't realise that she was still wearing it.
