No, it wasn't coming from a gun. It was her glass, she slammed it too hard on the table, luckily enough it didn't shatter. Jaehee laughed at herself. She promised to never walk into this bar ever again but yet, here she was.
This time, she was truly alone. Ten had quit his job and was currently attending Fashion Week in Toronto, Doyoung wouldn't know she was here. According to his mother, he was on a date with a girl who was most probable and most fit to be his wife.
Maybe she could kiss a different guy today, and start a whole new life with him. She chuckled bitterly, downing the drink. She didn't want a random guy, she wanted just one. One she could never have.
Jaehee stared at her phone, it had been ringing for the past seven times but she never picked it up. One, she was too drunk to listen and focus. Two, she didn't want Doyoung to know. By now, he must've realised what his mother had done but Jaehee didn't want his comfort. Even if Doyoung made it possible for them to be together, they just can't.
His family would chase the two of them down until they could tear them apart again. Then, both of them would get hurt all over again. She didn't want that, she was tired of getting hurt. Jaehee loved Doyoung sincerely, but she had enough of getting hurt. She was traumatised.
The girl groaned when her phone rang again, coming from the same person. She was about to throw her phone away, when someone grabbed it from her back. Drunk, Jaehee squinted her eyes to get a clear vision on who it was.
Jaehee sighed heavily upon realising. She was drunk, anger wasn't something she could feel. The alcohol she indulge was too much.
"Gosh, why would you throw your phone?" The guy asked as he placed her phone back on top of the counter. She ignored him and took another glass.
She blamed her drunk self for accepting his offer to meet up and clear the "misunderstandings" between them. It was a good chance for closure, but she wasn't really in a good condition to have a heart to heart talk.
"Why is it when I meet you here, you're always drunk and angry?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. His orang hair was slightly long, but his smile was blinding as ever. "How can I be drunk and happy when I decided to come here?" She tried to talk properly, but she sounded like an angry woman. The male chuckled. "It's about time." He said, sending confusion through her.
"You broke up with him, didn't you?" He asked and Jaehee ignored him, placing an empty glass at her lips. "Told you that you'd never be his, but hey. Being his dark secret isn't so bad." Yuta shrugged his shoulders and Jaehee was so close to throw the glass at him. Of course, the male stopped her.
Her hair was a mess, she didn't care about appearance anymore. There was no one to impress and she simply wanted to drink and forget, nothing more.
Yuta looked at her for a while, Jaehee felt uneasy with him. He was an asshole, why would she trust him, but why, why won't her heart beat normally whenever she looked at him?
He brushed the hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ear as he took the shot glass from her hand and placed it safely on the marble top.
"Why did you want to see me?" She asked, looking away and retreating from his dangerous touch. All he ever did was piss her off, they never got to their original reason of meeting up.
"Ever thought of getting back together?" He asked and Jaehee laughed. She laughed like a madman. Though she was drunk, she really found his offer funny.
"You're telling me you love me again? As if the first time was ever real." Jaehee laughed. "Go to hell, Yuta." Jaehee made a sarcastic face. "I thought I made it obvious when I apologised for what happened at the party." He said. Yuta contacted her numerous times after the party. He first apologised about his comment on her and Doyoung's relationship, but then Jaehee ignored him.
