"Holy sh—"
Jaehee placed a hand over her mouth to refrain herself from cussing as the elevator opened. The lobby was enormous, it looked almost like the ones in those luxurious hotel, except she wasn't in a hotel. It was a residency.
The golden chandelier by what she assumed was the lobby was enough to make her question if she came to the right address or not.
Doyoung mentioned it was a party, and Jaehee was confident that she was running late. So, was the party over or was she early? There was literally no one in sight, despite some workers but the point is, the fun seemed to have end already, or haven't even started.
Nonetheless, she made her way to what seemed to be the outer part of the penthouse as she assumed that was where the swimming pool should be. However, the longer she walked, the lonelier the house get. Did Doyoung trick her again?
Jaehee couldn't handle the silence and her curiosity, she held onto any worker she could find to ask, "Is Kim Doyoung here?" She asked to what seemed to look like the waiter in this penthouse. "Mr Kim would be at the pool." He replied swiftly. "And where is the pool?" Jaehee asked again, she gave a nervous grin.
Fortunately, the male showed her the way but he stopped as they came to a flight of stairs. "He would be up there by the pool. Excuse me." He said. Jaehee thanked him and walked up the steps. It was getting stranger, there was no music, no anyone. It was nothing like party.
She checked her outfit again, making sure she didn't look too out of place in case there were a lot of people by the pool. Jaehee wore a dark red pareo skirt with a black tank top that tied to her neck. Though she wasn't planning to swim, she still wore a pair of shorts that covered her mid thigh underneath the skirt.
In her head, she was ready to possibly drown Doyoung if he lied to her again and they were the only ones here. As she saw clearer of the poolside, she realised she might be right. Jaehee placed her bag on a bench before looking around.
There, in the middle of the water, was the only person she knew in the house. Doyoung was chilling on a floatie, with shades and a swimming trunk on. He seemed to not notice her presence, perfect chance to shove him in the water.
"You're late."
His voice stopped her on her tracks. Jaehee gritted her teeth, he did trick her after all. "You said it was a party, I'm pretty sure I'm way too early." Jaehee scoffed before sitting at the edge of the pool, allowing her legs to soak in the water.
"A party consists of more than one people, therefore we both make two." Doyoung replied taking off the shades and gave her an irritating smirk. He then moved the floatie closer to her, as if inviting her to come with him.
Jaehee rolled her eyes and pushed it upside down, making him fall into the water. However, after a few minutes Doyoung didn't appear back to the surface. Slowly, the girl was panicking though she convinced herself that the guy was playing tricks on her again.
"Doyoung?"
She called, trying to find his figure in the water. However, she couldn't see the bottom of the pool well as it was nighttime. "Do—" Before she could even call his name properly, the girl screamed as the named male almost pulled her by the feet into the water.
The male slicked his wet hair backwards with a satisfied smile on his face. "Not cool." Jaehee splashed water on his face. "Why aren't you coming in?" He asked, his face eager for her to join him in the pool.
His hands playfully tickled the sole of her feet, causing Jaehee to kick him lightly as a reflex. However still, he wouldn't move away.
"Why would I?" Jaehee asked back, mocking him. "How can it be a pool party if you're out of the pool?" Doyoung made a face, he grabbed her by the hand but Jaehee pulled it back. It surprised him.
