Jaehee had never felt this nervous in her whole life, it felt like she was going to answer a question with only one chance to change her whole life.
This was her third time redoing her makeup, the first one she had a smudged eyeliner, the second one felt too much and she told herself that this one looked fine; she looked presentable and decent.
The dress was lying on her bed, she didn't have a coat as the hotel was warm and Aeri said it would ruin her dress. Though she disagree freezing to death, but she figured out she could handle the cold for a while.
As she was done with her makeup, Jaehee finally put on the dress. She looked much more elegant than she did when she tried it on in the fitting room a few days before.
She thought this could be her new favourite dress, the slit on her chest wasn't too showy and she loved the new look on her. She didn't take much time to admire herself as it was getting late and she hadn't done her hair yet.
Jaehee had been getting ready ever since 4pm and it was currently 40 minutes to 8. Her heart was hammering with nervousness as she thought of his reaction when she sees him. A small part of her actually worry that he wouldn't like the dress she put on, but then again why did she need his clarification? Jaehee was already certain she looked good.
After she permed her long tresses, she took the box that he gave her. Yesterday, while she was scrolling down a website for fun, she found an identical design of the hairclip on the store, and she found out what a fortune it costed.
It was Ana Khouri's jewellery! Jaehee was stunned when she discovered the little logo on the pin. She could have never afford the price for such a small accessory.
Carefully, she put it on a side of her hair, making sure it was visible for people to see. She put on a pair of diamond earrings she bought from Swarovski once as she was enjoying the money she made from her job.
As she was finally done, she took one last look at herself in the mirror. She rarely dressed up this way but it didn't mean she didn't enjoy how she looked. Feeling satisfied, she was ready to leave with her clutch bag when she heard a ringing sound from her arm.
The bracelet, Jaehee didn't know why she still wore it. She hated her ex, and threw everything that he gave to her but why couldn't she get rid of this one?
Maybe it was because this was the most simple gift he ever got her, and he gave it while he was a little tipsy, saying how he was reminded of her birthstone while he was in Venice.
Her birthstone was alexandrite and the closest thing he could find was the colour teal. Maybe his drunken confession was sincere at that moment, but maybe he never really meant it.
Maybe a little part of her actually hoped that he would come back to her after he returns from his hometown. God, she hated the thought but she was already late.
Rushing, she went out of her room and grabbed the pair of Jimmy Choo shoes that Aeri unnecessarily got for her as an apology gift that she couldn't attend the party.
Jaehee and her were shoving the bag in each other's hands when Aeri suddenly bought the shoes for her. She felt so bad for enjoying her friend's money but the girl was persistent that it 'wasn't that much'.
DOYOUNG:
im outsideJaehee nervously walked out of her apartment and towards the lobby when she found a black Rolls Royce Phantom in the driveway. A chauffeur was waiting by the door in a suit as he opened the door for her.
Startled, Jaehee got into the car only to find that she was alone. The chauffeur told her that Doyoung was already waiting for her at the hotel as he had some errands to run. She quickly typed in a reply that she was going to kill him for leaving her alone.
