"Yes, how can I help you?"
"One green tea latte for me, and one triple mocha with extra chocolate chips for you."
At the familiar order, the male paused. His eyes darted from the screen and towards the customer he didn't bother to look at in the first place. The guy had his eyes rounded, he knew her. He knew her so well, she might've changed her style a little bit but she was still the beautiful friend he knew.
Jaehee had her shades up her head, she was wearing a thin navy blazer with a white and light blue stripe dress shirt inside. Her white jeans were showing off her curves as the nude heels matched her handbag. She certainly looked expensive, something the old Jaehee barely liked to show.
Haechan instantly started to whine as if he was crying before practically pulling her in for a hug, despite the counter in between them. He called over another worker to the counter, switching duties.
"I hate you so much for leaving me to work here alone." Haechan pretended to sulk. He brought over the drinks to their table as he looked at her giddily. He was a college student, but still an elementary child to her.
"Awh, come on. I left for two years and this is the 'welcome back' treatment I get?"
The male clicked his tongue, eyes playfully glaring, "I bought everything you've ever listed." Jaehee bribed him, raising the paper bag with all the merchandise inside it. At the mention of it, Haechan launched forward for his prizes.
Jaehee took out all the things she remembered him mentioning to her before, from Michael Jackson's records, to his secret interest for tarot card readings and also tshirts from his favourite movie characters.
"Oh my, Jaehee! I didn't see you there. I missed you so much!" He changed his tone immediately, being his usual playful self. "You are the first person I'm seeing after arriving, I should be treated like a queen." Jaehee pulled the bag away from his reach.
"Most certainly, Milady." He took her one hand and kissed the back of it. As Jaehee handed him the bag, he was jumping like a child.
"Haechan, what are you doing?" Another familiar voice rang in the shop. Jaehee turned around, flashing her pearly white teeth from her red lips.
Taeil was surprised to see her, he only meant to visit the shop as he was personally assigned to monitor the progress of it from time to time. It had been so long since he last saw her and she changed a lot.
Instantly, Jaehee went in for a hug to her mentor in which he gladly returned before taking a seat next to her.
Haechan started to boast about the gift she got him until she took out the signed merchandise for him, in which the younger felt truly defeated. Jaehee managed to got the Mjölnir signed when she went to a comic con and actually met the real actors.
"So, how was New York?"
Taeil asked as the three of them made started to settled down and talk. "Fun, I've graduated and now I'm getting married." She said which surprised him. The elder nearly choked on his drink. "What the hell, already?" He exclaimed. "I'm not entirely sure about the last part, my mum said she was trying to negotiate out of it but I'm prepared." Jaehee shrugged as if it was nothing.
"Anyways, New York was the best thing ever! I can't wait to manage my own company." Jaehee was all smiles wondering about being a successful finance officer. "You have big dreams, alright." Taeil commented. "Of course, I don't wanna end up like you. Graduated for two years, yet here." She stuck her tongue out.
Taeil coughed cynically. "Excuse you, I'm the Head of Management for the company now, I repeat company, not cafe." He made a proud face. "Take that hammer as a congratulatory gift then." Jaehee grinned. Taeil then took a good look at the girl in front of him. She hadn't change much, she kept the new hairstyle she had two years ago and somehow he felt sorry for her.
