Chapter 9: "Rice Cakes is what it Takes to Become a Mage ☆ "
Honami's P.O.V.
I stared at my staff with eyes sparkling with joy. Like, I'm so proud of myself that I got this, I can't wait to rub this on Arkin's face!
I laughed evily rather loudly.
"What are you doing? Or rather, what are you plotting?" Lamenuos asked while giving me an awkward face and placing a plate filled with four...
"What is this?" I was about to poke the rice ball thingy but my hands were slapped away and--
--GHAD, IT STINGS!
"OWIE!" I pulled my hands back and stared at him in shock.
"Wash your hands first before eating!" Lamenuos scolded me, acting like a mom this time.
"Okay geez! But first what is this?" I asked, pointing the rice ball but it looks rather different.
"Oh, its a Japanese rice cake! Try it, I'm the one who made these." Lamenuos grinned proudly.
"Rice cakes! I really love Lamenuos-sama's rice cakes!" Alicia beamed and imidiately ate one.
"I SAID WASH-- OI NOT YOU TOO!"
We ignored Lamenuos and began eating.
Woah! Taste sweet and it's kinda moist and fluffy in your mouth! Sugoi! What is this?!
I began to chomp down on it hungrily.
Lamenuos just facepalmed at us.

"We'll begin our training again at dawn, is that alright? Same setting, in the backyard." Lamenuos said while checking the wall clock.
"At dawn? Wouldn't it be dark before we even finish?" I asked.
"It's alright, the moon is pretty bright here and there are fireflies in that huge sakura tree over there." He pointed at the huge Sakura tree at the corner. "It's really beautiful here at night. With your magic and mine, it wouldn't be dark at all. Besides, magic is more beautiful when seen at night." He smiled.
"Great idea! Sugoi! I can't wait!" I cheered. I remembered there is still one rice cake left, then my thoughts trailed to...
"What about Light-san? This is for him, right?" I asked as I pointed the last rice cake on the plate.
"He's not coming out in his room." Alicia answered, sadness filling her voice.
"It's alright, don't you worry about him. I've known Light since we were kids, he's always acting like a spoiled runt. Right now, he's just sulking in his room, he'll miss me and come out soon." Lamenuos chuckled.
Somehow, it peaked my curiousity. He sounds like he knew him ever since.
"Are you perhaps, really close friends with Light in real life?" I asked. His exression kinda softened and mumbled, "Yeah."
"Sugoi~ where do you guys live?"
"In Akihabara, that's why we're incharge in that area." Lamenuos answered with his usual smiles not leaving his face.
"WHAT?! REYN LIVES THERE! AND I USED TO!!" I scooted closer.
"Why didn't you tell me closer?!" I whined. "Well, you didn't asked." He laughed.
"Moooouuu!" I kept whining.
I'm glad everything's fine here, but I don't know about Arkin. I'm starting to feel worried as time is passing by.
