Kassandra's P.O.V.
"Why you!" I growled at the guy and get in my fighting position. I poured my power on the staff and it glowed, shooting the mysterious guy with a light beam.
He dodged my attack by jumping high and it exploded on a distance.
*BOOM!!*
The people screamed and started running away from us, scattering all over the places.
"Wait Kas! Not here!" Reyn warned me.
"As expected, the Wizardess of the Refulgent Staff is powerful, but I didn't know it's that powerful to make an explosion. Impressive." He spoke with a monotone voice as he sat on top of the roof of another house.
"Wizardess of wha--?" I twisted my face in confusion.
"It's fast as the speed of light. It's scream is of like a heartbroken females' cries, it's power explode like 2x of a thunder, and lastly its light is like the brightest stars." He jumped down of the building and stared at me like he was staring down at my soul. He has dark, lifeless violet eyes and has dark midnight yet long messy hair, long enough to reach his shoulders for a guy. His face portrays no emotions at all and his stare is like of a lifeless doll, I feel like its directing on my soul. I felt shiver down to my spine I keep staring at his hollow eyes.
"I didn't expect it would be held by a low level like you." He spat.
I was taken a back a bit and I gripped my staff tighter. "I don't know what you're talking about but no one messes with me or Reyn!" I yelled at him and charged at him.
"Kas don't let him get to you!" Reyn yelled after me.
"YAHHO!!~"
Another silhoutte jumped from above and slammed its huge katana near Reyn's grounds.
"Reyn!!" I yelled back at her and twisted my heels to get to her too.
"Not so fast." The guy swiftly swiped across beside me and a thin dark magic slowly gathered on his index finger that is pointing at me, then it shoot like a dark beam on my stomach and blasted on me. I went flying at one of the fruit's aisles. The villagers even panicked more as the fight kept going.
I coughed as the dust around me scattered as well and I landed at boxes of oranges and apples, some fruits even went over me.
"Kassandra!!" I can hear Reyn yelling.
"Don't look back missy!" I could hear the other guy's more cheerful voice playfully spoke at Reyn.
'Damn! He is fast! I remember as a mage, I have to learn teleportation... and I just started my training, I'm not even good at controlling my power yet.'
He started charging at me again, he summoned his staff with a dark magic circle forming around him and attempted to jab me with the staff on the stomach, but I managed to roll over at the sides and forced myself to stand with both of my feet again.
Before I can even get into a position again, he started attacking me right on the spot. He slammed his magical golden staff at me and I blocked it with my own velvety staff again. The forces applied on our blocking made our staffs shaking as we compete on who will be able to stand out for long. But clearly, he is the one winning, as my feet is sliding behind slowly.
He's so strong!
"Your fun and games are over, you will give up your staff to me." He said. I just gritted my teeth and focused on staying still. My arms are numb at blocking his offense.
