Chapter 15: "Get Well Soon"

I was standing in a dark, dark... and blank space. I don't know where I am, or where to go. I was too scared to move. What is this?

Until I heard a soft humming in a distance. I tried taking a few steps, and eventually, my feet just led me there. The humming got closer and it was actually a song. But I couldn't understand the lyrics. The voice is so beautiful though. Not long my entire vision is engulfed by bright light and bright white orbs floated around the area. The song is so beautiful though, with the company of sound, like a piano. I still don't know where it came from.

My eyes became droopy again, I feel so sleepy hearing the song. It sounds so beautiful and relaxing. I was slowly closing my eyes, ready to drift into sleep again, but a voice tried calling me.

'Honami'

It was really sweet, like mother-like.

'Honami...?'

I couldn't move anymore though as I was engulfed by darkness yet again.

'Honami...!'

'Honami!'

Honami's P.O.V.

I fluttered my eyes open and just slowly. The rays of sunshine hit my face again, this time, I'm not in the usual place in Lamenuos' guild. It wasn't my personal room.

I gasped and panicked as I sat up.

Where am I?! What happened?! The enemy?! My staff?!

I freaked out and started touching the covers and my bed sheet, then I realized it's just laying down beside me. I almost cried when I saw it. I grasped and held it on my chest.

I couldn't remember what happened yesterday much. We were attacked right? And after that...

Oh right! I transformed but...!

I tried patting my clothes all over me, but it's just my normal clothes. That's strange....

I frowned.

I raised my eyebrow and touched my hair. It's still in twin loose braids! Does that mean I'm not dreaming?! And I'm alive, thank goodness! I don't understand anymore.

"Kassandra?"

I turned around and see Lamenuos.

But this time, he isn't wearing his usual smile. Its face plastered with anxiety and worry all over.

His eyes lit up after he saw me glancing back at him though.

"You're awake! Thank goodness!" He ran up to me and embraced me.

"Oh..." I blushed a bit but didn't hugged back. I couldn't move too much, I feel so weak.

Lamenuos pulled away and both anger and worry is evident in his eyes.

"What happened to the both of you?! I was really worried sick of the two of you! Your mana and energy is in critical state! You shouldn't move your stomach or twist too much! It took a lot of damage! Just what in the world did you two got into?!" He rubbed his forehead in exhaustion.

"You even destroyed a part of the village!" He kept scolding me. I just lowered down my head.

"I'm sorry..." I muttered, my expression filling with grim.

"No, I'm glad you're fine. Reyn took the most damage though. She's not awake even now." He said.

"What?! Let me see her-- oww!" My face twisted in pain and I layed back on the bed. My stomach hurts and it's like twisting inside! I gritted my teeth in pain and shut my eyes close.
