Chapter 7: "Conflagrant; The Resplendency|Part I"
Honami's P.O.V.
I separated ways with Arkin. I wonder if she'll be alright. We can visit her as well next time. It's going to be alright.
"You look troubled, is everything alright?" Lamenuos asked with his gentle smile as always.
"Uhh, yeah, don't worry." I answered, shifting uncomfortably a bit. Geez, being alone with this creep is not healthy.
"You must be really tired and hungry now, we're almost there anyways." He said. "Alright! I'm ready for training!" I cheered. "Nuh-uh, you have to rest first and gather up energy. That includes eating first, and resting." Lamenuos corrected me while gesturing his finger as 'not yet.'
"Awww!" I huffed my cheeks.
"Ahh, look, we're here." Lamenuos smiled as he also gestured the traditional japanese house infront of us.
I observed around the house and it is pretty nice. There is a fish pond over there with colorful koi fishes in it and a statue of Buddha pouring down water on the fish pond. The grass looks like its wellgroomed and the dried leaves are piled aside. Looks like they did some sweeping infront of their house.
Lamenuos opened their sliding door and it revealed 2 of their members turning their attentions at us. One is a girl standing across the coffee table, with blank icy blue eyes and pale blonde hair that reaches her waist. It looks like she is wearing clothes of a priestess and she has a huge white bow on her head. Then there is this one guy glaring daggers at our direction with his cold and lifeless grayish blue eyes. He has a burnette and fluffy curly hair, he looks like he is wearing a purple mage's coat golden tribal designs. He has his wooden staff with him and he sitting on the couch with his feet on the coffee table.
"I brought a new recruit~" Lamenuos grinned.
"New recruit? Isn't that wonde--" The brunette cut off the blonde's cheerful voice, despite her blank eyes. "You brought a new recruit without giving us a notice? Quit playing around Lamenuos-sama! You're the team leader quit slacking off again! You'll bring a mess in our guild, what if she's a spy?!" The brunette roared at Lamenuos.
"L-Light-kun!" The blonde tried calling out for him.
"Ahh, calm down, calm down, Light-kun. Don't be so jealous don't worry I won't trade you for her." Lamenuos smiled sweetly.
"WHA- ?! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU DAMN-- GET OVER HERE!" The brunette growled, his hands glowed a teal light and he applied force in his hand on the coffe table behind him and lifted it up.
SUGOI!!!!
My eyes sparkled seeing it.
But all my excitement went off the drain when the table came flying towards Lamenuos, almost hitting me as well but I dodged and covered myself.
"E-ehh?!" I raised my head up to see what's happening to see Lamenuos running away and laughing at the younger brunette who seems to be chasing him down angrily, and throwing the nearest things using his magic spell to lift the things up. It's really cool!!!!
I stared at the fluffy brunette, awestruck.
"Hey." I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around to see the blonde girl, smiling sweetly at me.
"Don't worry about them, they are always like that. And also, I'm sorry about Light-kun. He's always rude at first as well, but once you get to know him, he's a softie and a sweet guy." The blonde chuckled.
"Oh, don't worry I wasn't bothered about it!" I laughed it off.
So in short, this 'Light-kun' is a tsundere?
"I'm Alicia Blankenhelm by the way, it's nice to meet you!" She reached out for my hand and I accepted it. We both shaked hands.
"Aaaah-- ehhhh, eto... Kassandra Campbelle!" Dang, I almost said my real name there.
--timeskip--
The four of us is sitting in front of the living room in circle.
Lamenuos cleared his throat and looked so beat, he have bandages everywhere and scratches.
I noticed that its only the three of them in the house today.
"Right, explain this Lamenuos." Light crossed his arms.
"Ahhh, you see. We'll help this girl train! She'll be in our guild for awhile~ so welcome her and be kind okay?" Lamenuos chirped.
"Hai!~~" Alicia cheered but Light immidiately tried to disagree,
"NO. You're the one who told no visitors around in our guild!"
"Well, this case is different Light-kun. I saved her and her bestfriend in the human realm. And she just got the entry badge from the game. Show it to him dear~" Lamenuos clasped his hand together with a cheerful face. Wow, he looks so happy when he got here.
But 'dear'??? I felt shivers down in my spine. Eww. =_=
Nevertheless, I pulled the badge out and showed it to the other two.
Light's eyes widened a bit.
"That's right Light-kun. You have the same entry badge with her. You'll help me train her--"
"--WHY ME?!" Light stood up, looking irritated as he yelled down at Lamenuos.
"Light-kun, please sit do--" Alicia got interrupted by Light yelling, "NO!"
"...its because you have the same badge and major as her. Now quit acting like a brat." Lamenuos spat with a serious tone this time.
Woah O___O
He sounds scary when he is serious and with that blank red eyes staring back at him.
Light was taken aback a bit and bit his lip. He clicked his tongue and walked away.
"Oi, Light-kun!" Lamenuos tried calling him but the guy just kept walking away. "Tsk, he can be so troublesome sometimes. Don't mind him Kassandra, I'll train you myself." He smiled reassuringly at me. I'm glad Lamenuos is actually really nice to me, I feel a bit offended on Light.
"Uhm, you know Lamenuos, you don't have to do this if you don't want to--" "--what are you talking about?" Lamenuos laughed and ruffled my head. "Were you hurt by Light-kun? Oh don't worry, he's just a jealous guy~ He doesn't like it when I'm with other girls."
"E-ehh?" I widened my eyes a bit in confusion. Alicia also laughed a little.
"Now, now, don't think about unneccessary things. I'm the one who suggested to train you and brought you here. I am the one responsible. And I want to help you girls out." For the first time Lamenuos closing his eyes and smiling at me, I felt warmth inside me. I just smiled back. He's not that bad after all. But sometimes, he can be such a cancer.
"Now, time for training!!" Lamenuos beamed and grabbed my wrist and dragged me outside their backyard.
"W-WAIT-- I HAVEN'T EAT YET!!"
*growl*
"What was that?" Lamenuos stopped running at his tracks and got alerted.
"U-uuuhh..." I blushed.
"What's wrong?" Lamenuos raised his eyebrows a bit.
"...." I puckered my lips in embarrassment.
"Ahh, I get it! Hahaha!" Lamenuos laughed.
"D-don't laugh baka!! I'm hungry!!" I yelled at him while blushing a bit.
"Well then, let's go and eat first." Lamenuos smiled and dragged me back at the building again.
