"What? You said you were bored." Light crossed his arms.
I gave him this '=______=' face because HE IS FREAKING UNBELIEVABLE RIGHT NOW!!
He placed 15 thick books on my table, carefully avoiding the medicine besides it, so he said I could study while I am resting.
"Look Light, you're being a pain in the arse again! I just got better a bit!" I swear he ticks me off in the most annoying ways.
"Reading a book won't hurt your stomach you dumbo." He spat. "IT HURTS MY BRAIN." I exaggeratedly whine.
"You're pathetic." He scoffed. "Whatever, if talking shit to me makes you feel better then fine." I groaned at him in annoyance and crossed my arms.
He sighed.
He carefully grabbed a book beside the table and handed it out to me.
"What history shit is it this time?"
"Oh? So you don't want to learn magic spells?" He smirked and held the book away from me.
"W-wait no! You demon! Give it back to me! You know I couldn't move too much!" I tried reaching out for the book.
"Hahaha, alright alright. I brought it here 'cos maybe I think it will cheer you up. It has a list of 1,000 magic spells in there, including the binding magic, the explosive magics, the illusionary magic, the repel magic, the elemental magic, and the healing magic, etc." He smiled as he gave the book to me. My eyes lit up as I held the book in my hands. It looks ancient and worn out, yet really magical, it made me really happy to hold something like this.
"Are you kidding me? This made me so much happy! I'm so excited to learn ALL of this!" I beamed and skimmed through the pages. The first 50 pages was all about the successors of the book generations to generation, the credits and table of contents, after that there are some pictures of those successors, how the magic looks like and finally, the list of the spells. I flipped the pages more and saw it's exactly a thousand of spell!!
"Thank you so much Light!!" I grinned at him. He just smiled back. He ain't bad after all.
"Actually, Lamenuos was the one who suggested me to give you this book, since you're dying about it." Light looked away. "He did?" I blinked my eyes twice. "That's kind of him." I commented, but somehow I could feel my heart skipping a bit.
"If you read the history it's all written in there. Hugh Draper, the 16th century wizard possessed a lot books about black magics, occult stuffs and alchemy. Though he burn mostly of it. There are still magical books scattered around all the world. This are the 15 books I managed to find and attained, with Lamemuos." He explained, smiling as he looked at the book with nostalgic eyes.
"That book I found is a jackpot." He continued to explain. "Sugoooiii..." I hang my mouth open. This might be a 16th century book!! It looks so old it could turn into ashes any moment! There are some few burns at the edges, but it still looks fine. I kept brushing my hand at the cover of the book.
Ahh, I can feel the ancient times flowing in me...
"Huehuehue..." I made a weird laugh out of too much happiness and I was a bit dreamy right now.
"Stop that you're creeping me out." Light cringed and backed away.
"Hidoi..." I huffed my cheeks.
"Get better soon okay? We still have to continue training and we have a meeting about this in Master Hiroshi after 3 days you girls recover." Light explained as he walked away.
"Wait-- meeting?" I asked.
"Yes, you two will tell us what happened and explain EVERYTHING. The rest of the details will be on the meeting. While you're resting, memorize the spells on the book. You can pick what kind of magic spell you want to use. You don't have to memorize it in order by the way." He glanced at me behind his shoulders, stopping at the exit of the tent.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Like, you can memorize number 559, then 451, number 2, number 34, number 77, depending which magic spell you like."
"Sugoi!!!! That's fantastic!!!! I really can't wait to do know this!!!!" I squealed, barely containing my excitement. He just smiled.
"You can memorize all of it all you want. 5 of the greatest wizards memorize all of it, take note the maximum you can learn is 1,000 and some are useless spells in there so choose wisely. Make sure to memorize it surely though, the chantments word by word, or it'll explode or attack you instead." He smirked and left.
Sugoi! Whatever I got this and I will master this! Who gives a damn about what Light says?!
I hugged the book and fangirled.
Someday I will rub it on Light's smug face that I'm a better mage than him grr!
Arkin's P.O.V.
"Lost magic?" I mumbled. I am currently reading a book that contains different kinds of spells that a mage can obtain. I came across an interesting page where it talks about a swordsman's will power and the ability to practice a healing power. It is said on the upper right description that no swordsman/woman ever accomplished this power ever since the 20th ruler of the samurai empire died. She created this power to help fellow swordsmen to heal their bodies in a blink of an eye. During her time many of her men accomplished it but the worst came that she died due to her mana being sucked away and putting all effort to save her beloved husband. Once the husband awakened he did not waste any more time to announce that the healing power of a samurai is banned forever and it will be considered lost magic.
"So it is called the 'Healing of Samurai' and is now considered Lost Magic. But it is also written here that anyone with the potential of a true samurai or swordsman/woman can accomplish it. And wow it even had the steps on how to accomplish it"
I look at myself on the mirror studying my beat up body. I glanced on the book and back at the mirror and the slightest idea popped in my head "I'll accomplish it in no time and heal myself fast."
And with that I started studying the steps for about the whole night until I successfully accomplished it and healed myself. It wasn't that hard I don't even know why other swordsmen couldn't accomplish it.
"I guess I'm just lucky." I mumbled and ate my already cold soup and fell asleep again.
