Chapter 5: "The Departure"

Lamenuos' P.O.V.

It's been a day since I met the two girls and I like them already.

They both are cool and unique in their own respective ways. They are such a happy duo as well, even with their personalities contrasting with each other ^_^

It's really nice just looking at them. We spent the whole walk listening to Kassandra's rants and banters while I just laugh and Reyn doesn't seem to care.

I don't feel good about this though, I'll do my best to help these girls on their training... despite Kassandra delivering an awesome speech, she's shaking and she's forcing herself to smile right now. I know she's trying to hide her anxiety with that over confident set up. While I can see Reyn's troubled face. Well sure it looks blank but her frown tells that's trying to think how to pass the whole situation out. I just chuckled after observing the two. They are open as open books.

"What are you chuckling old man?! I'm tired... can we stop for awhile???" Kassandra breathed a pack of air and sit at the huge stone she spotted in another village we're passing through.

"We're halfway through our destination~ don't worry we're almost there~" I reassured her with a smile.

"H-halfway?! I can't believe how far it is! Just where in this part of the universe are you guys staying?!" Kassandra exclaimed.

"Now, now, I told you to conserve your energy. You move and talk too much. We won't wait for you any longer if you stop here and take a rest." ^_^

"You guys are demons." Kassandra whined and forced herself to get up. We both continued to walk.

"It's really hooooott..." She whined.

"Here." I threw her a bottle of water.

"Oh, thanks!" She gulped it down in one go.

---

We kept walking until we reached the woods, it's almost close to the guild by now.

"U-uhm L-L-Lamenuos..." Kassandra muttered from behind me.

"Yeah?" I stopped at my tracks and turned towards her. So did Reyn as well.

"Ehh well I uhh drank too much water I need to..." She trailed off and blushed while fidgeting on her fingers nervously.

I laughed, "I get it, I get it. Well, there are lots of bushes and the trees are pretty thick, plus no one is around. I'll be waiting here, so girls do your business."

"You have to go with me." Kassandra pulled Reyn's wrist and dragged her inside the bushes.

"W-wait why do I have to--"

-----

I stand there, checking at my wristwatch. It's been 5 minutes, are those girls even okay?

"W-we're back..." Kassandra mumbled from behind.

"Oh, I was starting to worry that you girls got ambushed or something. Let's go." I closed my eyes and smiled then resumed on our walk.

---

"Here we are." After passing our village, we stood infront of a large gate and there were two guards guiding the area.

"It's Lord Lamenuos." One of the guards spotted me

"Hi~" I waved my hand as I greeted them.

"You're back! How is the mission? And you're with..." The guards started approaching him.
