I walked into the Curtis' house for what could quite possibly be the last time, for a while at least. I made sure everyone was there, also known as I made sure I came when Micky Mouse was on. That means Steve and Sodapop were getting ready to head out for work and Two-Bit would be watching the cartoon on their couch.

Darry looked over and saw me, "You didn't stay over last night."

I sighed, "I needed to stay in my own house one last time."

"Wait, one last time?" Two-Bit answered. He must reallly have been alarmed, because he never ever looks away from Mickey Mouse.

"You're leaving?" Sodapop asked as he appeared out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel around his waist

I nodded, I didn't think I could cry anymore than I did the day before but I didn't want to risk it. My eyes still burned. "Where you leaving?" Ponyboy asked

"Back to Cincinnati. I know me and my family aren't on the best terms...but I need help raising this kid. And no offense guys, but having the combination of Dallas Winston's DNA and being raised by a gang of boys doesn't sound like the easiest kid for me to raise. Especially as a single parent." I somewhat joked

"Good call, Two-Bit would probably introduce the little one to a switchblade by the time they could walk." Steve snickered

"When are you leaving?" Ponyboy asked

"Either today or tomorrow, I was packing up my house yesterday." I answered

"Are you flying?" Two-Bit asked

"No, driving." I said

"That's a long way." Darry commented

"Speaking of which, I was wondering if I could borrow some gas money?" I asked

Sodapop smirked, looking over at Steve. Steve didn't seem to get it, but Soda looked like he had a master plan. "You can, under one condition."

"What's that?" I asked

"You work a shift at the DX." He replied

Steve finally understood the proposition and his eyes lit up. "And!" Steve butted in, "We have a goodbye party to celebrate."

"Tonight at the Curtis'!" Two-Bit added in

The boys started celebrating their glorious plan and I tried to hide my smile, "Hmm...I don't know..."

"You can crash on the couch and leave tomorrow...if it helps you make up your mind..." Darry added, a smirk appearing on his face

"I mean..." I stalled, "I guess..."
