   •

in that moment, she felt she needed air to breathe. being inside those 4 walls made her feel trapped and anxious.

she opened the door and desperately walked out of the house. the night was dark already and the stars welcomed her as she walked towards the river, crying rivers.

yuna noticed the gazebo at the end of the harbor and it seemed the perfect place to be right now. it was lonely and was away from the house where she could cry and think in peace.

even if the current was soft, the peaceful sound of the water rushing, made her feel at peace with herself.

she sat in front of the tree as she buried her face between her hands, crying desperately into her hands.

it hurt. it hurt the fact that even if she was told all of this, she was told kibum had lied to her, still a small piece of her believed that maybe, just maybe, the one lying was kihyun.

maybe, kibum didn't lie.

maybe, kibum lied but only to protect her from something she was sure he didn't know how to handle.

just maybe.

she definitely wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but now it seemed like something difficult to do, since kihyun was right all along.

the water suddenly turned quiet as the moon shined above in the sky, bright, with a gloomy white glow.

she sighed as she wiped away the tears when suddenly she heard steps approaching. "yuna-ssi?" his sweet voice felt like a caress to her ears.

she closed her eyes and remembered how similar they voices sounded. it wasn't kibum though. it wasn't him, coming from the dead to tell her something, to give her an explanation.

slowly, she turned around and found kihyun's worried eyes, chest going up and down faster as he approached her with hesitant steps. "yuna-ssi?" he asked again, his eyes slightly glassy.

"it's cold outside, we should get back." he said pointing to the house km away.

in that moment she felt like crying as she approached his figure. with a desperate attempt, she wrapped her arms around his torso and under his jacket, burying her face on his chest.

the dull cries echoed inside the gazebo as kihyun slowly hugged her back, bringing her closer to him.

the warmth his body provided was like a remedy in that moment, the exact temperature she needed since it was true, it was cold outside.

"what are you doing here?" his soft voice close to her ear.

she didn't know what to say. all the excuses forming inside her head sounded pretty lame so she chose to tell the truth. "i had a bad night."

kihyun, on the other hand, didn't need any other information, he already knew what she was talking about and decided instead to stay there a few minute more, with her.

the hug was comfortable for the both of them and for a second, he decided to forget that the girl between his arms, had been his late brother's fiancé, and just any regular girl he met randomly.

but it was hard.

in that moment, between the two of them, even if they tried to push it away, it was alive the memory of him.

kihyun sighed and grabbed her softly by her shoulders, staring into her dark eyes. "yuna-ssi... you need to face it... we both need." he said blinking softly.
