"Ming, help me. Khun Kas, drive safely and have a good evening." I saw Kas nod before I clutched onto Ming's arm and took a painful step toward my dorm. It's going to take forever to get to my room.
"Kit, what happened to your legs? Did you fall? And who is that guy? Why were you in his car? And why did you not let me tell him?" Without wasting time, Ming bombarded me with questions.
"I didn't fall. I run too much. I'll answer the rest of your questions after we make it to the room." Talking while trying to walk on painful legs had me feeling more tired, and I wanted to get in the building before the rain fell.
"You run too much? Don't tell me you forgot you haven't been to the gym in a while?"
"I was trying not to think?"
"Think? What were you trying not to think about?"
"Your...ah ah..." Pain shot through my stiff legs as I unconsciously tried to kick him. I wouldn't be going through this if it hadn't been for him.
"It seems bad. How many miles did you run? I don't think you can walk, let me carry you."
"Carry me? Don't you dare try it." I glared at him in warning.
"How will you go up the stairs if I don't carry you?" Ming wouldn't move when I tried to keep walking.
"One at a time, stupid." I tugged on his arm, trying to get him to move.
"With the way you're walking it'll take forever and I can't watch you go through this much pain for that amount of time."
"Uh uh, say whatever you want, you're not carrying me. Let's go." Try as I might, this idiot wouldn't move. "Ming, what are you waiting for? Let's go."
"That guy hasn't left yet. Kit, who is he?" I craned my neck, following Ming's gaze to where Kas' car was still parked.
"He's no one. Let's go."
"Why did he give you a ride if he's no one?" Ming turned his attention back to me.
"I met him at the gym for the first time today. He..."
"You met him for the first time today and you got in his car? Weren't you ever thought not to get in a stranger's car?" Ming's tone grew icier with every word he spoke. His eyes narrowed and turned to stone, making my blood quiver.
"Uhh...W-well...he was nice a-and..." And what? I was in pain and couldn't contact Ming so.... Anyway, the way Ming asked the question made it sound bad. Ming was still watching me with the coldest, hardest gaze I'd ever seen on him. I'm the one who is mad at him for making me look bad in front of my sister in law and yet why do I feel like the one who should be apologizing?
"And?? What if he'd decided to take you somewhere else? How would you have defended yourself or called for help?"
"Umm..." He's scolding me? That's my job. I'm the one always doing the scolding. This was so new for me I couldn't think of an excuse.
"P'Kit..." P'Kit?? Now every time he calls me that I can't help but worry. "Why did you get in a stranger's car?" I didn't think he could do it, but maybe he can. Maybe Ai'Forth didn't make a mistake in recommending Ming to succeed him as a head hazer.
"W-what was I to do? I couldn't call you and I couldn't make it to the taxi stand..." Like a petulant child, I answered. I wanted to break eye contact, but I couldn't. Even blinking seemed like a difficult task for me.
Okay...I give up. I'll do it. "Ming...I'm so..." With his eyes still trained on mine, he gave me a bruising kiss. Sucking hard on my lips and forcefully sticking his tongue down my throat. "Mi...umph." He swallowed my words before I could speak them. I clutched onto his shoulders, watching him watch me. It wasn't sweet or sensual, yet I didn't break away.
Still clutching onto his shoulders, my breath came in quick short gasps as he broke away. My lips...hot.
"Mingkwan, why did you do that?" I squeaked- where did my scolding tone go?- and looked around. Just because we came back early doesn't mean we're the only ones on campus. Stupid Ming's eyes still looked cold.
"Never do that again." His tone still dripped with ice.
"W-what?"
"Walk out on me. Not let me know where you are. Forget your phone...and most importantly get in a stranger's car...Do you understand?" Did he kiss me because he'd been worried? Or was he trying to make sure Kas finds out we're dating? I looked around but Kas' car was gone.
"Ming, I didn't think I could drive and he was nice enough to offer...so..."
"I don't care why he did it. You shouldn't have accepted. You could have used his phone to call a taxi instead." I'm here, nothing bad happened. Why is he so mad?
"But the taxi driver would also be a stranger."
"Yes, but you would be calling a taxi company, not an individual." I could feel the onset of a headache and as much as I would like to delve deeper into this topic, I didn't want to argue with Ming. I wanted to get, going up the stairs over and done with.
"Ahhhhhh, what are you doing?" Before I could take a step, I was thrown over Ming's shoulder like a bag of rice.
"It's drizzling. If we go at your pace, we'll be soaking wet by the time we make it into the building."
"But did you have to carry me like this." I'd found my grumpy tone again.
"It'll only hurt your legs more if I carried you any other way."
"Hey, asshole, put me down, we're in the building already." I said to him when I noticed we'd entered the foyer of the dormitory.
"I'll put you down when we get to the room." Why is he always embarrassing me? I hope nobody saw that. Stupid Ming.
