He smiled.

I pulled over, I need to rationalize what I saw. I trust Ming. He's never lied to me, so I must have been seeing things. This could be a plot.

Okay, Ming was there...and he smiled. Maybe these are the kind of parties the engineering faculty is into.

Think Kit, think. Ming would never betray me. He sent me an address, he was there...and he smiled. Was he enjoying the situation? Is this his way of saying this is the kind of thing he's into? Why did he smile?

Ahhh, I banged my head against the steering wheel, trying to get my brain to work properly but like a broken record, the image of Ming surrounded by naked people doing that, all in the same room and his smile...he smiled, wouldn't stop playing in my head.

I don't know how long I stayed parked wherever I'd pulled over at. I drove back to my dorm in a daze.

I stared at my door. Ming will find me if I enter. I can't think straight right now and I don't want to see him. I can barely form a single coherent thought, talking to Ming while in this state won't work.

I knocked on Beams door. After waiting for a while, I tried to use his spare key, but the door was flung open before I could open it.

"Kitty...what's with your face?"

I brushed past him into the room. I didn't see Ai'Forth quickly pull the duvet to cover himself. I sat on the floor, looking out the glass door of Beams balcony and everything went hazy.

One quick look around and I could tell this was going to be impossible to explain but first, Kit.

Kit's car was on the move by the time I made it out of the building. I drove straight to his dorm but he wasn't there. I didn't believe he'd be at my dorm but I still went there anyway. An open notebook on the table and pictures of me with some females I don't care about. Kit...I searched the bathroom, the balcony, no Kit.

I drove to the medical faculty. It wasn't surprising that some students were still in the building. I searched the classrooms, the library, anywhere I thought Kit might be, all to no avail.

I drove back to his dorm and to my relief, his car was in the parking lot. I walked into his room expecting to find an angry Kit but he wasn't in the room. I went back to the parking lot and searched the surrounding areas but couldn't find him. The only other place I could think of was P'Beam's room.

I banged on the door, a not so happy looking P'Beam yanked the door open almost immediately.

"What?"

"Is Kit here?"

"What did you do to him?"

"So he is here. Let me in." I tried pushing past P'Beam.

"Hey, Ai'Ming, stop. Tsk, stop, you asshole." P'Forth appeared behind P'Beam just when I almost succeeded in pushing P'Beam to the side. Pushing past P'Beam is easy but P'Forth is another matter. Fuck.

"P'Forth, don't interfere, let me see Kit." He'd moved P'Beam out of the way and stood guarding the door.

"Ai'Ming, go back to your room. Ai'Kit doesn't want to see you right now."

"Is he okay?"

"Of course not. What the hell happened?" P'Beam spoke from behind P'Forth.

"I don't know..."

"How can you not know what happened? Weren't you there?"

"P'Beam, it's not that simple, a lot happened, so let me see Kit. He and I need to talk."

"Like I said, come back tomorrow. It's late." P'Forth said.

"Kit..." I shouted past P'Forth into the room. "Kit, come on, let's talk..."

"N'Ming..." P'Forth's voice had taken on his head hazer tone. "Stop causing a ruckus. Are you trying to wake the neighbors?"

"If you let me in or ask Kit to come out, I'll leave quietly."

"And I told you Kit doesn't want to see you right now. More like he can't. If you care about him consider his feelings."

After several minutes, P'Forth gave up trying to be rational and just shut the door in my face. I stayed in front of the door the rest of the night. I would have stayed there until Kit stepped out but P'Forth dragged me to school with him. I don't remember what happened all through the first half of my day.

A/N: Don't hate me. I'll put this to bed in the next chapter. I did enjoy the guessing in the comments and was tempted to make it longer- I even have the material for it- but I want some MingKit lovey moments too.
