It's only been one week since I came back home but guess who came budging in to my house and is currently sleeping soundly beside me? Yep, that's right, Mingkwan. When mum innocently asked him to stay he innocently accepted, but we all know Ming is hardly innocent. I have no idea what to do with him. I don't have to babysit, so I originally planned to just laze around but with this guy here I don't think I can do that.

He is holding me like he usually does. I've become very comfortable with it now, sometimes I even miss it but he doesn't need to know that, and since I have nothing going on today, I'll let him enjoy my body warmth for a little longer. This is all we can do anyway, if anybody walks in- only P'Kieng does anyway and he knows we're dating- we can just blame it on the sleep.

He was awake by the time I woke up again but he insisted on keeping me trapped against his chest.

"Ming...let go." He nuzzled my neck in response.

"Can I kiss you?" What's wrong with this guy? He knows we can't or does he just want to hear me say no?

"No, you can't. Let go of me. I'm hungry." I wasn't trying to pull out of his arms though.

"Please." Please? Since when was he polite while asking or more like demanding for a kiss?

"Are you alright? You're being polite."

"Mn. A kiss from you will make me feel better."

"What's wrong with you? If you tell me, I'll..."

"Kit..." Mum budged into my room. I sprung out of Ming's arms quickly, my heart was beating so fast I thought it might pop out of my chest. "...grandma fainted, we're taking her to the hospital." What? She was doing just fine recently.

"I..." Mum was out the door before I could say anything else. I jumped off the bed and run downstairs just in time to see them drive off. I noticed my sister in law only when I turned around to go get my phone from my room. "Do you know what happened?"

"No, I was in the kitchen when it happened. I pray she comes back safe."

"Was P'Kieng here when it happened?"

"Yes, he's the one driving. Mum and dad went too."

"Okay." I had a strong edge to bite my nails as I made my way back to my room. I know which hospital they're taking her to and I would like to go see her but my sister in law will be left alone if I leave. Maybe she'll want to come too but the babies...

I brushed my teeth and showered as quickly as possible, my hunger forgotten.

"Kit, how are you holding up?"

"Huh?" I whirled around, surprised. I'd completely forgotten about Ming. My hands shook when I tried to button my shirt. I've known grandma all my life, I mean she's lived with us ever since I can remember. I blinked up at Ming when I felt his fingers on my hands. He brushed my hands aside and buttoned my shirt.

"She'll be fine. Your grandma is really strong, besides she is still young. Did you see how excited and energetic she was yesterday when I showed her the video of that boy band from South Korea?" That thought of her swinging her head from side to side and how she clapped and asked to watch it again when the video ended had the corners of my mouth tagging upwards. I took a step forward and placed my head on Ming's shoulder, wishing that he's right.

When I called mum later she said grandma was doing better and they'll be bringing her back, so I didn't need to come to the hospital. She forgot to take her hypotension medication which caused her blood pressure to drop causing her to faint.

"See, I told you she'll be fine." He just had to gloat.

"Yeah, you were right. Are you happy now?"

"I told my parents about us?" He blurted.

"What? Is that why you were being weird earlier? W-what did they say?" Why did he have to go and make me nervous again when I'd just gotten over the first one? Do I want to know? What if they told him to break up with me and he's actually going to do it?

"My...."

"Wait wait wait..." I stopped him. I need to prepare myself. I took a deep breath and held it. "Okay, I'm ready."

He sighed before answering. "My mum said it's fine if I'm in love with you but my dad...he said nothing."

The way he spoke about his dad saying nothing... "Is it bad that your dad said nothing..."

"I don't know what to think. He'll always say it if he doesn't like it or if he does, but because he said nothing I'm not sure what to think." I let out a long breath. I think it'll be better if we think optimistically.

"They say 'silence means consent'. Maybe he's accepting us silently?" 

"I don't know Kit, it's been bugging me nonstop."

"Are you worried that he'll want us to separate?"

"Yes...but who knows, you might be right, and he has silently accepted us. Anyway, I'm going back home tonight."

"B-but..." He's only been here one night. He's not going to stay and...I don't know, comfort grandma?

"What?"

"N-nothing." I looked down at my weaved fingers. Grandma really likes Ming and even though he doesn't understand her much, he always knows how to make her smile.

"Are you sad that I'll be leaving?"

"I'm not sad. I was just thinking that if you stayed one more night grandma will be really happy."

"What about you? Will it make you happy if I stay one more night?"

"Yes...so stay." He cupped my face in his hands.

"You really know how to make me fall in love with you."

"I thought you were already in love with me." He had a stupid grin on his face.

"Yep and you keep my love for you fresh when you say lovely things like this. I'll stay tonight, just for you." He placed a kiss on my forehead before pulling out his phone.

"Are you calling home?"

"Nope, I already told them I won't be home for two days." What?

"Did you lie about going home?"

"Nope. I just thought that your family might want be alone with your grandma after what happened." I believe him, a little. I still can't help but feel like he somehow tricked me into asking him to stay.
