After flipping through my notes for a little over an hour, I tried calling Ming but there was no answer. I called him a few more times, still no answer, so I sent him a text asking what time he'll be coming back today. About ten minutes later my phone chimed with a reply from Ming. An address was listed with a message which read

'meet me here'

I wasn't sure if it'll be okay to go because if I remember correctly he's supposed to be representing his class at one of their professors' birthday or retirement or something. But except through texts, we haven't spoken today so my hesitation only lasted a few seconds. I dressed as formally as I could and headed out to said address.

"Ai'Ming, you've been chosen to represent the class. I'm jealous of your popularity. I don't like that professor, but I wouldn't mind the free food and drinks." Ai'Ram, never a bearer of good news and easily lost in a world of his own.

"Why did you guys choose me without asking? I can't go. I have plans." Seriously, my class is filled with so many lazy bums. Sometimes I think they've conspired among themselves to keep me away from my Kitkat.

"It's too late. Ai'Chart already submitted your name as the representative."

"What? Hey, Ai'Chart..." I shouted out his name to get his attention. "Why the hell did you submit my name without my permission?"

"What are you talking about?" I really don't like this guy.

"As the class rep shouldn't you be the one representing the class at Professor Wisit's retirement farewell or whatever?"

"Oh that. Hahaha, Ai'Ming, you know you're professor Wisit's favorite student in this class..."

"Favorite student my ass. He's always giving me more work. He criticizes my work as if I'm going to submit them for a competition."

"That's because he likes you and believes you can do better than the rest of us."

"Don't patronize me. Are you in his head? How do you know that?"

"I don't need to be in his head, it's easy to tell. Anyway, you're close to the seniors and truthfully you get along with all the other professors too, so you were the best choice. I'm sorry I didn't ask you first, but can you please do this? Please please, Ai'Ming."

"I don't want to. I have plans."

"What plans? You're always on campus. This is an opportunity to relax, or is someone waiting for you at home that day?" He lifted a brow at me.

"Ai'Ming has someone special who is always waiting for him, okay?" Ai'Ram spoke up for me. I'm tired of this. Kiitt, if only you were here to give me a kiss or two, I'll even take three, or else I don't know how I'm going to get through this.

"I know he has someone but Ai'Ram, how do you know?"

"Because I'm his friend, and how do you know?"

"Lets say a little bird told me. Ai'Ming, here is the address. I'm sorry okay..." even though he was giving me an apologetic wai, I didn't want to accept the paper he was handing to me.

"Take your seats class. We'll be starting lessons soon but before that, did you guys buy a gift for Professor Wisit?" Professor Ana asked as she set up the projector.

"Yes." The class chanted a reply.

"Good. Don't forget to bring the gift over to the office after class. We're going to use them as part of the decoration for the party tonight and Mingkwan, you don't have to worry about dressing formally, you can wear your uniform to the party. Do you know the address for the venue?" What? Did she say tonight? I seriously have plans to feast on my Kit's nectar today.

"Professor I have the address. I was just about to hand it to Ai'Ming." The look of satisfaction on Ai'Chart's face as he handed me the piece of paper had me fuming silently. I wish I could punch him once.

After class I sent a text to Kit telling him I had to attend one of our professors' retirement party and won't be able to have dinner with him. I've cancelled on him so many times already, I'm worried he'll become lonely and resort to seeking company somewhere else.

I stood in front of the first years as they were hazed by P'Forth and the other senior hazers. This isn't something I chose to do either, it was forced upon me. When I asked Kit to ask P'Beam to talk to P'Forth to get me out of it, he totally refused, such an unsupportive wife when I need him to be. As usual, the first years flocked to us when the process was complete. I thought I saw Kit but I must be imagining things because I miss him.

After what seemed like forever, I finally made it to the address Ai'Chart had written down for me. I didn't bother to hide the tired look on my face as I was let into the building. The woman who let me in said something, but I didn't hear. I had only one aim, let them see my face, then I disappear. I put my phone on silent so as not to interrupt the party. I reread Kit's one word reply to my earlier text.

'Okay'

I love his unromantic texts. I looked around the place, there were people here and there, none of them familiar. Did I come too early? I took a sip out of the glass which was handed to me before leaving it on the table and relaxing into the couch.

The first thing I saw was a horrified looking Kit as I came to. I smiled at him before realizing the situation I was in. I pushed the hand which was underneath my shirt away and bolted up but Kit had already disappeared.
