We all flew out to DC, for Chris’s bodyguard trial. We rented a house for up here, so that the kids would get comfortable and all of that. Our babysitter is here with us, because Kalia and Caleb can’t sit still or anything. So, I was dressed in a sky blue exposed front-zip lace romper, with white Cici Hot gold chain wedges. My hair was down. I grabbed my white Michael Kors medium selma top-zip satchel bag. I walked downstairs, seeing that everyone was ready. I kissed Caleb and Kalia’s forehead.

‘’Be good for Ms. Brittany.’’ I told them, before walking out of the house. I got into the passenger seat of the black Tahoe. Ms. Joyce pulled off. Chris’s trial is tomorrow. We pulled up to the courthouse. We got out, walking into the courthouse, taking a seat in the back. Christian sat beside me. He looked like Chris, more and more each day. I zoned out till’ the case started. The defendant had a good lawyer, the plaintiff not as good. Christian put his head on my shoulder. I looked down at him, smiling. After a while, we were waiting for the jury to made a decision. Christian fell asleep a while ago. The jury walked back in.

‘’Does the jury have a verdict?’’ The judge asked.

‘’Yes, we do your honor. We finished the plaintiff guilty of the assault of Isaac Parker.’’ He said. They took Chris back out of the courtroom. We got up. I put Christian onto my hip then walked out of the courtroom.

‘'What now?’’ I asked, walking down the steps. I opened the back door, putting Christian in the middle of Bre and Leilani. I got into the passenger seat. Ms. Joyce pulled off. I hoped Chris would get off. ‘’Ms. Joyce, did you think Chris is guilty?’’ I asked.

‘’Not one bit. I hope and pray he didn’t do anything.’’ She said. I looked out of the window, thinking of how this is going to work if he gets locked up. I’ll be doing everything by myself. Ms. Joyce pulled up to the house. We got out, walking up the step. We walked into the house. Kalia and Caleb ran over to me.

‘’Mommy!’’ They yelled. I picked them up, kissing them both of the cheek. They smiled, returning the favor.

‘’What y’all want for dinner?’’ I asked, putting them down.

 ‘’Spaghetti.’’ Leilani shouted.

‘’Lasagna.’’ All the other kids said. I nodded, walking into the kitchen. I got out all of the ingredients. I put the meat into a pan and the noodles into a pot. Ms. Joyce walked into the kitchen.

‘’Go watch the kids, I have this.’’ She said. I nodded, walking into the living room. All of the kids were watching Spongebob. I sat there, thinking about this whole Chris thing. I don’t want him getting into anymore trouble. You know it’s hard raising six kids by myself while he’s locked up and on trial. It’s stressing me out and I can’t afford this.

‘’Mommy, can you take us outside?’’ Caleb asked.

‘’Sure.’’ I said. Christian, Caleb, and Kalia came walking behind me. They got onto the swings. I sat there, thinking and thinking. Kalia walked up to me, sitting down in my lap.

 ‘’Mommy, what’s wrong?’’ She asked.

‘’I’m thinking about your daddy and about how much I miss him.’’ I said, looking down at the ground.

‘’I miss daddy too, but I just don’t think about it. I know he’s coming back.’’ She said. She is wise for a four year old.

 ‘’It’s hard, Lia.’’ I said.

‘’No it isn’t, mommy. Just don’t think about it.’’ She said, hopping off my lap. She ran over to Christian and Caleb. I smiled at Kalia’s words, then I looked down at my heels. I sat there, looking at my phone. I looked through the pictures on my phone. I can’t believe Chris and I have made it this far. I smiled, then looked at one picture that was eight years old. I smiled, wiping my tears.

‘’Come on, kids. Let’s go back inside, it’s getting dark.’’ I said. They walked inside, and I walked in behind them. The food was done and it was there was plates with lasagna on them. We all sat down and did a prayer before eating. It was delicious. After everyone was finished, I started to them up one at a time, to shower and get ready for bed. I helped Ms. Joyce cleaned the dishes.

‘’You know I appreciate everything you’re doing for my son.’’ She said, drying the dishes off.

‘’It’s nothing Ms. Joyce. Chris is a great husband, even though we have our disagreements I still love him with all my heart.’’ I said. She smiled, warmly. My phone began to ring. I grabbed it, answering it. ‘’Hello?’’ I asked.

‘’Kai, mom is in the hospital!’’ Bree shouted through the phone.

‘’Why? Is she ok?’’ I asked, pacing the kitchen.

‘’She was in a accident.’’ She said.

‘’Man, I’ll be there by morning.’’ I said, hanging up. Ms. Joyce was looking at me with a concern look. Brittany walked into the kitchen, looking at me.

 ‘’What’s wrong?’’ Ms. Joyce asked.

‘’My mom was in a car accident, I wanna be there but I wanna be here for Chris.’’ I said, sighing.

‘’Honey, go back to LA. That’s your mother, I’ve got Chris. Don’t worry. I’ll call Kevin and get you on the jet before midnight.’’ She said.

‘’Thank you so much, Ms. Joyce.’’ I said, running out of the kitchen. I ran up to the bedroom, I was staying in then grabbed my bags. I walked down the stairs. ‘’Kids!’’ I shouted. All of them came running downstairs. ‘’I’ve gotta go back to LA, because something bad happened. I’ll see you when you get back.’’ I said, hugging them all.

‘’No, mommy.’’ Caleb said. I bent down, giving him a kiss on the forehead.

‘’I love you all.’’ I said, walking out of the house. Brittany was giving me a ride to the airport. I walked down to the Tahoe, getting in. Brittany pulled off. ‘’I hope my mom is ok.’’ I said, to myself. I was just praying that everything with her is good. Brittany pulled up to the airport.

‘’Kai, call me if anything is wrong. I’ve got the kids.’’ She said. I got out of the car, walking over to the private jet. Well, LA here I come.
