I sat in the courtroom, dressed up in my suit and tie. I looked back to see my kids, my mom, and our babysitter, Brittany but I didn’t see Kai. You would think she would be here. Everyone was here, and the judge was ready to start. I was sitting there, zoned out till’ I heard something important.

‘’Well until we get his bodyguard here, the trial will be put off till’ June 25th.’’ The judge said, before hitting the little brown circle. I got up, and the officers took me back to my jail cell. I sat there, thinking about Kai and how she couldn’t be here for me.

‘’Mr. Brown, you have a visitor.’’ The officer said. I got up, walking out to cafeteria. I seen Brielle sitting down.

‘’Hey dad.’’ She said, hugging me. We sat down.

‘’Where is Kai’lani?’’ I asked, coming off straight-forward.

‘’Her mom got into a car accident, so she rushed back to LA last night.’’ She said.

‘’Oh, how is everything?’’ I asked.

‘’Good, everyone misses you especially Kai. She isn’t her usual self, she’s taking this badly. You need to come home, dad.’’ She said.

‘’I’m working on that, just know I love you.’’ I said. She nodded, smiling. Wow, I didn’t know Kai would take this that hard.

I got up from the bed. I got a text from Brielle. I unlocked my phone, looking at the message. ‘’His trial got pushed back till’ June 25th. He also says he loves and misses you.’’ The text read. I smiled, then walked into the ensuite. I stripped out of my clothes, stepping into the shower. I stood there, washing my body. I got out, wrapping a towel around my body.

I walked into the bedroom, sitting down. I rubbed Johnson & Johnson lotion over my body. I got up, walking into my closet. I put on my undergarments. I slipped on a black Topshop crop tee, black/white Gojane tribal lounge pants, with white/black taxi Air Jordan 12 retro. I put my hair into a messy bun. I grabbed my black Michael Kors large reese satchel handbag.

I walked downstairs, grabbing the car keys. I walked out to the garage, getting into the orange Lamborghini. I put the key into the ignition, pulling off. I turned up the radio, jamming to whatever was on. I hope she’s ok, I need to get up with Chris too. I pulled into the parking lot of the hospital. I got out, walking inside. I walked up to the front desk.

‘’Hi, what room is Chaslyn Perez in?’’ I asked, in a nice, polite voice.

‘’She’s on the fifth floor, in room 337.’’ She said. I nodded, walking over to the elevator. I got in, pressing five. The doors closed, and I stood there. What in the world happened? My life is slowly falling apart in front of me. The doors opened and I walked down the hallway. I stopped in front of room 337. I opened the door to see Crystal sitting there with mom. I walked in, sitting beside Crystal.

 ‘’How is she?’’ I asked.

‘’She is a coma. Last night, she was alive and talking but when I came here this morning-.’’ She stopped, wiping her tears. ‘’She was in a coma and they don’t know how long it’s going to be.’’ Crystal said. I walked over to her, comforting her. Bree walked in, straight over to mama.

‘’Don’t tell me she’s dead.’’ Bree said.

‘’No, she’s just in a coma.’’ I said, wiping my tears. Bree walked over to us, consoling us. I can’t believe my mom is in a coma. The doctor walked in.

‘’Hello ladies.’’ He greeted. We all waved, then looked at our mother. I wiped my eyes, standing up. I stood beside her bedside. She looked so peaceful. I stood there, thinking about my mom. She is a wonderful woman. She is so spiritual and incredible. I can’t believe she’s here in the hospital. My phone began to ring. I walked out of room, to the hallway. I answered the call.

 ‘’Hello?’’ I asked.

‘’Hey baby.’’ Chris greeted. I was super happy to hear his voice.

‘’Hi, baby.’’ I said, smiling hard.

‘’I’m being transferred to a jail in Virginia.’’ He said.

‘’Baby, you moving a little bit too much. I’m missing you too much.’’ I said.

‘’I’m missing you too, my mom is taking the kids to Virginia. You need a little break because I know you are overwhelmed. I’mma need for you to get back right.’’ He said.

‘’I’m trying. My mom is in a coma and I’m up here in the hospital now.’’ I said.

'‘Ok, when I get home I promise not to get into any trouble.’’ He said.

‘’Chris, just be positive.’’ I said.

‘’I’ve gotta go, my Indian Queen. I love you a million times.’’ He said.

‘’I love you too, baby.’’ I said, then the phone call ended. I stood there, putting my hand up to my head. I can’t wait for him to get home because it just isn’t home with the father of my children, the love of my life, and the best husband ever.

What do you think? I’m hoping Chris doesn’t plead guilty. Leave a comment, vote, follow, and leave feedback.-Daniella
