I sat in the living room, watching Cheaper by the Dozen. It’s been two months, and the kids were upstairs, asleep. I’ve been dealing with too much. My phone rung. I grabbed it, answering it.

‘’Hello?’’ I asked, pulling the blanket over my body.

‘’Hey babe, I’ve got some news.’’ He said.

‘’Alright, what is it?’’ I asked.

‘’I’mma be able to get out in a week or so.’’ He said. I squealed, flipping out. My baby is getting out. ‘’But I need to be good.’’ He said.

‘’Baby, you’re coming home. I want you to notify me like three days in advance, so that I can clear my schedule.’’ I said, smiling. I just wanna throw him a surprise party.

‘’Alright, I love you.’’ He said.

‘’I love you too.’’ I said. He hung up. I sat there, smiling to myself. My baby is finally coming home. I just want him to have a party where he can see all of his friends and have a good time. I walked upstairs, to the bedroom. I don’t know what to do now. I laid my head down, falling asleep.

 [Next Morning]

I fell someone shake my body. I didn’t wanna open my eyes because I was still sleepy. I opened them anyway to see Caleb.

‘’Mommy, mommy come here!’’ Caleb shouted. I got out of the bed, following him. We walked downstairs to the front yard. There were five dozen roses.

‘’Here is yours. It’s from dad.’’ Bre said, handing me the bouquet of pink roses. I smiled, taking in the scent. Leilani, Ms. Joyce, Kalia, Bre, and I had a bouquet in our hands. I smiled, walking back into the house. Chris is so sweet. I put my bouquet into a vase.

‘’Mommy, can you help me?’’ Kalia asked. I nodded, helping her put the flowers into a vase. I smiled, thinking about Chris.

‘’Everyone, I’ve got some good news!’’ I shouted. Everyone faced me. ‘’Chris is getting out in a week or so.’’ I said, smiling. Everyone was so happy. Ms. Joyce was crying.

‘’Are you serious?’’ Bre asked, wiping her tears. I nodded, and she started to cry again. I smiled, hugging her. Kalia was happy, and was singing one of Chris’s song. The boys were just being goofy like Chris.

‘’I want to throw him a surprise party. You know, him and his boys.’’ I said, looking in Ms. Joyce direction.

‘’Alright, let’s see what we can plan.’’ She said. I want a party for him and the kids then one for him and his friends. We all walked into the living room, sitting down. I put on Toy Story and let all of the kids watch it. I walked into the kitchen, sitting down at the island. I grabbed a notebook and pen. I wrote down things that I know we are going to need.

I smiled, thinking about Chris. I just miss him so much, and I need him to help out with his kids. All of the memories replayed in my mind. I remember our first official date.

‘’You look very nice tonight.’’ Chris said complimenting me.

‘’Thank you. You do too.’’ I said smiling. He turned on the radio and it was playing ‘Freaks’ by French Montana. The music was the only thing not making the car ride silent. I seen a bunch of lights. On my god, it completely slipped my mind that the fair was in town. Chris took the key out of the ignition and we got out of the car. Chris grabbed my hand and we walked inside. Chris got our wristbands.

‘’Where do you want to go first?’’ He asked.

‘’What about the Zipper.’’ I said. He nodded and we walked over to the ride. We got in and waited. When they started I gripped onto Chris’s arm. He chuckled and held my hand. The ride ended and we walked away to the Himalayas. We got on and waited. The ride started and ‘Good Feeling’ started playing. I started singing off-key and everything. Chris looked over at me and laughed.

‘’What I can sing.’’ I said and he bursted out laughing. I crossed my arms over my chest.

‘’You call that singing. You sounded like a dying horse.’’ He said in between laughs. I turned so I wasn’t facing him.  When we got off the ride, we walked around. Chris got us a pizza and a lemonade with two straws. We sat down and ate some of the pizza. We both drank at the same time. A little girl came up to us.

‘’Oh my god, you're Chris Brown!’’ She exclaimed.

‘’Yes, and who are you?’’ He asked smiling.

 ‘’Jasmine.’’ She said.

‘’How old are you?’’ He asked.

‘’Thirteen, can we take a picture?’’ She asked.

‘’Yeah, sure.’’ Chris said. The girl whipped out her iPhone and they took crazy picture.

‘’Can your girlfriend being in this one?’’ She asked. Chris nodded and I got up. I sat beside Chris and she took the picture. Chris signed her phone case and she walked off. I went back over to my seat and sat down.

‘’Chris, you’re so sweet.’’ I cooed.

‘’Well, I do love kids. They are so cute and all.’’ He smiled. We got up and I brought Cotton Candy. I wandered off and wanted to go on the Ferris Wheel. I walked back and seen Chris with a large teddy bear.

‘’I won this for you.’’ He said handing it to me and I smiled. I know I’m name it. I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the Ferris Wheel. We got on and Chris wrapped his arm around me. I know that this is not a date but it feels like it. When it got to the top, I seen all of the rides. It was beautiful. It went down and we got off.

‘’You ready?’’ He asked. I nodded and he grabbed my hand. We walked out and the paparazzi were taking pictures of us. Chris just gripped my hand tighter and we ran to the Range Rover. We got in and Chris put the key into the ignition then pulled off. The car ride was silent except for the music playing. He pulled into the parking garage and took the key out of the ignition.

‘’What are you doing?’’ I asked.

‘’Making sure you get to your condo safely.’’ He said. We got out and walked to the elevator. He pushed the button and the doors opened. We stepped in and he pushed ten. The doors closed and we stood there. The doors opened and we walked down to my door.

‘’I had a great time tonight.’’ Chris said.

‘’I do too.’’ I said smiling.

‘’Maybe, we could do this again.’’ He said.

‘'Maybe. You have my number, just hit me up.’’ I said unlocking my door. He leaned down and kissed my cheek. I smiled then opened the door. We hugged then he walked away. He looked back and smiled.

That’s how this all started and I’m glad we went somewhere, because I wouldn’t have the best husband and the best kids ever.
