Chapter Eighteen

 Six months, these have been the best six months of my life. Cameron and I are officially a couple and today the kids and his son are going to meet. Chris was out of the country with his friends, so I have the kids for about two months. I was dressed in a red Adidas Chicago Bulls jersey, Gliks destroyed machine skinny jeans, with white/true red/black Air Jordan 4 Retro. My hair was straight.

 I grabbed Kalia and Caleb, walking downstairs to the backyard. Basically I was having like a little cookout for us. I heard the doorbell, I put down Kalia and Caleb. I walked inside, to the front door. I opened the front door, seeing Cameron with who I guess was Cameron Jr.

 ‘’Hey baby.’’ He greeted, giving me a peck on the lips.

 ‘’Hi, and I guess you are Cameron?’’ I asked, getting down to Cameron Jr’s height. He nodded, giving me a small smile. ‘’Come on in, the kids are in the backyard.’’ I said, moving out the way. Cameron and Cameron Jr walked in, walking to the backdoor. I followed them.

 ‘’Cameron!’’ Caleb and Kalia shouted, running over to the Cameron Jr. They all hugged.

 ‘’I take it that you guys know each other.’’ I said, smiling.

 ‘’Cameron is our best friend. We are all in the same class.’’ Caleb said.

 ‘’Well this is mommy’s boyfriend, Cameron. Cameron is Cameron’s daddy.’’ I said.

 ‘’They have the same name?’’ Kalia asked.

 ‘’Yes, Cameron what would you like me to call you?’’ I asked, looking at him.

 '‘Cam or Cammie, my aunty loves to call me Cammie.’’ He said.

 ‘’I’ll call you Cam.’’ I said. He nodded, running off with Kalia and Caleb. Christian and Leilani walked over to us. Cameron’s arm was wrapped around my waist.

 ‘’Hey I’m Leilani and this is my little brother Christian.’’ Leilani said, introducing herself to Cameron. He smiled, getting down to her height. She and Christian gave him a big hug. I smiled, seeing that they were ok with Cameron. I walked over to the grill, turning the steaks. I felt arms wrap around my waist. I looked to see Cameron. I smiled, turning to peck his cheek.

 ‘’I’mma go watch the kids.’’ He said. I nodded, maintaining the food. He peck my cheek, walking off. Cameron has been helped me through some of the days where I felt hopeless. I talk to Chris from time to time, he’s with Kelana and I’m happy for him. Kelana and Kai’lani sound alike but that’s none of my business. After the food was finished, everyone fixed a plate then sat down. Brielle walked out to us, giving me a hug

 ‘’Hey Bre. This is my boyfriend, Cameron and that’s his son Cameron Jr.’’ I said, introducing. She waved, sitting down.

 ‘’Mommy’s friend what do you do?’’ Kalia asked.

 ‘’I help build buildings and sometimes houses.’’ Cameron said. She nodded, eating her hot dog.

 ‘’Do you build McDonalds?’’ Caleb asked. Cameron chuckled.

 ‘’Actually I did help build about two. Caleb what do you wanna be when you get older?’’ Cameron asked.

 ‘’A firefighter or police man.’’ Caleb said, excitedly. They were all talking to Cameron. I hope he can take being around four kids. Brielle is living with her mom now, she comes and visits us on the weekends. I ate some of my hamburger, sipping Coke after it. Ms. Joyce walked out to us, taking a seat.

 ‘’Cameron, this is my ex-mother in law, Ms. Joyce. Ms Joyce this is Cameron my new boyfriend.’’ I introduced. They both exchanged a hug then sat down.

 ‘’Kai’lani could I talk to you inside real quick?’’ Brielle asked. I nodded, getting up and walking inside. I closed the sliding door.

 ‘’What’s up?’’ I asked.

 ‘’I have a girlfriend.’’ She said.

 ‘’I know your friend, April.’’ I said, about to walk back outside.

 ‘’I mean I have a girlfriend. I’m bisexual.’’ She said. I fell to the ground, hitting my head. I blacked out after.

 Ms. Joyce

 We were all crowded around Kai’lani, as Cameron held her head up. The ambulance was on the way. I ain’t about to call Chris because she isn’t his wife anymore and plus he messing with a off brand Kai’lani. Like Kelana and Kai’lani sound alike. He’s just trying to make another one of Kai’lani but she is one of a kind.

 Truly I feel like Kai’lani is moved on and she has a good boyfriend. As soon as Bre told us, he came inside, elevating her head. The ambulance pulled up. Cameron picked her up, walking toward the front door. They put her in the back of the ambulance.

 ‘’Ms. Joyce you can go with her. I’ll stay here with the kids.’’ Cameron said.

 ‘’No sweetie, I’ll watch them. You can make sure she is ok.’’ I insisted.

 ‘’Cameron be good. Daddy will be back in a few hours.’’ He said, giving his son manly hug before jogging out the door.

 ‘’Is mommy going to be ok?’’ Kalia asked.

 ‘’I hope so sweetie. How about we all go down to the beach and play.’’ I suggested. They all rocketed upstairs. I love all of my grandchildren and Kai’lani as a daughter. Chris need to get his act together with this other girl because him wanting Kai’lani is a zero percent chance.
