Can you define it?

Media says for a girl to be beautiful, every box must be checked.

Boobs, butt, long legs, tan, skinny but curvy,

The list is endless.

For men, you need muscle, and lots of it. You need to be able to fix things, to play sports and to have perfect hair.

Oh, and followers, you must have at least a k at the end of that number.

Age says only the young are worthy to be deemed beautiful. They don't have those wrinkes or salt and pepper hair.

Gender says that girls like pink and boys like blue. That boys who like tea parties are wrong and the same for girls who like trucks and mud.

Money says that cars, phones, watches, shoes, clothes, and any material possession equals beauty.

I say beauty is something that is indefinable.

Something that isn't forced, something that just is.

Like the canvas that is the sky, unique murals everyday and night. Or the first smile of a baby. The innocent laughter of children.

The kindness that one gives another.
The natural talent of a human, boy or girl.

The ability to be unashamed of who you are. Comforting words to a broken soul.

Standing up to what is wrong.
Admitting that you were wrong.

The excited passion one has for something they love.

Beauty is not something you have to make, it's something that you are!

What is beauty to you?
