The boys stared at eachother taking in the new details of eachother as they aged. It clicked in Wade brain that Peter hadn't seen him after the "incident" and he sunk farther back in his hood.
"Wade? Are you okay?" The named seemed so familiar rolling off Peters tongue. He remeber being 15 when he was shipped off to be kept safe. How he had tried to help Wade with the shit in his life without even knowing what is was.
"Ill be back i promise!" Peter explained tears in his eyes. Wade just gave him a sad smile wiping away the tears that began to fall.
"Ill be okay Petey." Wade stepped away from the younger boy holding down his own emotions.
"But... I tried so hard to get them to keep me here but they wont even listen, why can't you just come with me." Peter spoke heart broken for leaving Wade alone.
"Your dad's already don't like me i don't think they'd approve with me going with, but hey when you get back we can finally go on our date." Wade smiled as he watched the sadness in Peters eyes falter for a moment.
"Yeah I'm okay, it's just been so long." Wade drank in the man that his best friend had become.
"Im sorry, Wade." Peter sighed. Wade looked at him confused.
" Sorry for what exactly?" Wade asked
"Leaving you... never calling... or texting... i left you to deal with all the shit you were going through alone.... and it looks like thing didnt get much better."Peter looked at wade with sad eyes. Before Wade could respond his phone rang in his pocket. Recognising the number as "work" he stood up from his seat.
"Well have to through all this sappy catching up shit later pete i gotta go." Wade bolted to the door putting the phone to his ear. Peter slouched into his seat thinking he said something he shouldn't. After heading home and having a long family dinner, everyone went to bed except Peter found himself escaping out his window. With the thin suit clinging to his body he understood exactly how cold it was. Landing on a roof Peter stood shivering while looking over the city he truly missed.
"Well aren'tyou just an idiot for not wearing a coat."
