The Monster in the Woods 2

"What!" Wade yelled releasing the other male to look at him. Peter didn't know what to say he couldn't tell if Wade was mad or not.
"So all that shit I said I really was talking about you?"Wade asked trying to process what Peter had told him. Peter shrugged and nodded slowly.
"God damn...." Wade muttered guilt growing inside of him.
"Wade, I really don't care about what you said about me. You didn't know." Peter explained walking over and leaning on the table. Wade sighed walking over to the other male. He lifted the smaller one up so he was sitting on the table. Peter looked up at Wade his eyes wide and curious. Wade held back making an aww noise at the adorable boy.
"Petey I can't go to the ball." Wade explained watching sadness form in Peters eyes.
"But whyyyyyyy?"Peter whined not understanding why he couldn't.
"Baby boy your the only one dumb enough to come into these woods. This face scares normal people." Wade stated gesturing to his face. Peter just pouted earning a chuckle from Wade.
"I know!" Peter cheered jumping off the table and going to the door.
"Where are you going?" Wade called as he watched the other get ready to leave.
"I gotta go, just be ready for the ball okay? I'll meet you at the edge of the woods." Peter ran out the door before Wade could answer. Peter made his way home thinking of his plan. Sneeking back to his room he laid on his bed thinking of what to tell his fathers before he drifted off. He was awoken by a soft knocking coming from his door.
"Sir Peter, I suggest going and helping your fathers plan." Jarvis's voice came through the door. Peter rolled out of bed getting ready. He found his dads as they fought over something.
"Uh..." Peter began not sure on how to start.
"Oh Pete here to help?" Tony asked noticing his son.
"Yeah...and I had an idea... uh I was thinking it could be a masquerade ball." Peter suggested trying to read his dads faces.
"Interesting, what gave you this idea?" Steve pushed thinking of the idea.
"Uh I don't know it's just something new..." Peter smiled hoping to sell the idea. Tony and Steve both agreed to the idea. They all began to plan and work Peter excited that Wade could come now. Weeks passed Peter not telling Wade anything wanting to surprise the other. As the night of the ball neared Peter couldn't hold his excitement. Peter walked down the hall constantly being stopped as guest arrived. Once Peter had escaped past the castle door he ran to the woods making sure to not ruin his suit.
"Wade!" Peter yelled as he saw the other standing among the trees. Peter stopped in front of Wade hugging him before pulling away and holding up a mask.
"What's this?" Wade asked taking the mask from the others hand.
"It's the reason you're coming with me." Peter smiled pulling his mask over his own face. Wade slipped his mask on before taking Peters hand and making his way to the castle. The two locked arms walking in the door. Peter could feel Wade tense at the glances they got. Peter dragged Wade farther into the giant room. Peter looked around seeing the masked faces around him. Peter talked to people scince no one knew who he was. Wade stayed right next to Peter slightly uncomfortable from the crowd. The band had changed its music to a slower kind. People partnered up beginning to dance. Wade took the chance and pulled Peter to the center of the room. Peter rested his head on the taller mans shoulder them both swaying to the music.
"Thank you for coming." Peter sighed softly his heart full of joy. Wade hummed in response happy he can see his Petey so happy. As the song came to an end Peter pulled away looking at the others masked face. Someone stumbled forward bumping into Wade causing his mask to move and the string to snap. The mask fell to the floor. A horrified look spread across Wade face as people around him gasped. Everyone turned and looked at the man in the center of the room disgusted looks in there faces. Peter tried to grab Wade as he slipped out of his grasp and ran out of the castle. Peters heart sunk watching his plan fall apart.
"Wade!" Peter called chasing after the other. Peter followed the other to the woods. Peter pulled off his mask throwing it to the ground. The moonlight providing the only light. Wade came to a stop leaning against a tree.
"Wade, I'm sorry."Peter cried trying to hold back tears. Wade sighed turning to the other male.
"Why the fuck are you sorry? Peter you tried to bring some normality into my life and I thank you for that." Wade explained staring at the smaller boy.
"Wade... jesus your the best thing in my life. I fucking love you." Peter cried tears pouring from his brown eyes.
"Peter you love a monster. The monster who lives in the woods" Wade turned and began to walk away.
"You're not a monster to me..." Peter whispered his heart breaking. Wade turned back around to see his prince crying. Wade realised Peter was honest about his feelings. Wade ran to the other lifting Peter into the air before passionately kissing him. Peter pulled away Wade wiping away his tears. Peter leaned into Wades hand.
"I love you too Petey. You just deserve someone better." Wade hummed giving Peter a weak smile.
"N-no Wade I want you not someone else. You're not some monster you can come live in the castle." Peter begged, giving Wade the best puppy dog eyes he could.
"Huh alright but your dads are gonna hate me." Wade smiled seeing the joy reappear in Peters eyes. Peter hugged Wade before dragging him away from the woods.
"I was right. There was no monster in the woods."
