Jess's P. O. V.
"Okay, are you ready to go?" Daniel asked. We had gotten to the hotel half an hour ago and I was getting ready for our first date in Paris.
"Almost done," I said putting on some chap stick. I looked in the mirror and fixed a few pieces of my hair.
"I'm so excited," Daniel said. I chuckled and walked over to him, kissing his lips.
"Let's go," I said. Daniel took my hand and we walked out of the hotel and got into the cab.
"So we're getting dinner at the Eiffel Tower, then we'll walk around and we can come back here after a few hours," he said holding my hand in his lap.
"Sounds fun." I smiled. Once we arrived at the tower, we walked in and went up to the restaurant.
We got to our table and slid into the booth next to each other, Daniel on the outside. The waitress took our drink orders then left us alone.
"This is so nice," I said looking around.
"Aren't you glad I brought you?" Daniel asked.
"Of course I'm glad babe," I told him. I put my hand on his cheek and kissed his lips.
The waitress walked over to our table with a smile.
"Bonjour, how may I help you?" She asked. Her French accent was beautiful, and so was she.
Daniel ordered our drinks for us and she walked away with a wink. I looked at Daniel and saw a smile on his face.
"Seriously?" I asked.
"What?" I furrowed by eyebrows.
"Nothing," I said.
"Hey, I love you," he told me. I smiled and he kissed me.
"I love you too."
The waitress came back with our drinks, leaning a little too far down in front of Daniel. He didn't seem to mind, though. I sighed, sipping on my drink as she continued to smile and wink at him. She even started calling him names like "sweetie" or "cutie" and even "babe". Daniel didn't even back away when she started putting her hands on him. It was disgusting.
Soon we ordered and brought us our food. I was silent as we ate.
"Jess?"
"Yeah?" I asked, sighing.
"Are you okay?" He asked. He put his hand on my thigh and rubbed his thumb up and down.
"Sure," I told him. He furrowed his eyebrows. The waitress came over with our check and Daniel put his attention back on her. I slumped back in my seat as I ate a bread stick.
Daniel gave the waitress his credit card and she walked away. We finished eating and Daniel took my hand as we waited for her to come back. Soon, she brought back the receipt and his card.
"Have a nice day, honey," she said smiling. Daniel took the receipt and stuffed it into his pocket, but not before I saw what the waitress had written.
'Get rid of your girl an give me a call sometime ;)' under that was her phone number.
"Ready to go?" Daniel asked, standing up.
"Just me or the both of us?" I asked, scoffing. I stood up and walked past Daniel and went to the elevator.
"Jess," Daniel jogged into the elevator and grabbed my hands.
"What?" I snapped
"What is wrong with you?" He asked.
"What's wrong with me? More like you, letting that slut fawn all over you." I scoffed.
"What are you talking about? She was just being nice!"
"How can you be so naive?" I asked, crossing my arms. "She was all over you! Calling you names, flaunting her boobs in your face, winking at you, touching you! How could you not tell? She gave you her number, telling you to get rid of me!" The elevator doors opened and we walked out. We were outside in the cool breeze with the stars out.
"Okay I know that that was crossing the line. But she was just being nice, it wasn't anything more."
"Maybe not to you, but to her it was."
"That doesn't matter," he said. I scoffed. I walked faster, leaving him behind. I got to the street and stopped, mentally slapping myself for not paying attention to how we got here from the hotel.
"Jess!" Daniel called. I turned and saw him squeeze through a group of people to get to me. I rolled my eyes.
He walked up to me and grabbed my hand, taking me away from all of the people and over by a light post. The air was cold and I started shivering.
"Do you want my jacket?" He asked.
"No," I snapped.
"Jess, why are you so upset?" He asked.
"Because you didn't do anything! She was flirting with you, and you let her! It's like you wanted her to!"
"Jess." He grabbed my wrists, but I yanked away. "Jess, look at me."
"What?" I felt my tears dripping down my face.
"I would never, ever, want anyone else to flirt with me besides you. I don't want anyone else. She may have been flirting with me, but I didn't even notice. And I didn't notice because I'm so in love with you, that I only ever think about you-"
"That's why you gave her more attention than me?" He sighed.
"I'm sorry Jess."
"Yeah whatever."
"Jess, I'm sorry that I gave her more attention. And I'm sorry that I let her flirt with me. But I promise you, it'll never happen again. I'll make sure you know that you're the only girl I ever look at. I'll show you that I love you so much, there's no room for anybody else. I'll tell you a thousand times a day that you're the only one, just please forgive me. This was supposed to be the best date ever, and I've ruined it."
"Daniel," I whispered. He wiped my tears and pulled me closer to him.
"I'm sorry for assuming. I was just worried that after I did what you did, you wouldn't think it was a big deal to flirt with someone."
"No, Jess, it's he biggest deal. I wasn't flirting with her."
"I know. I forgive you. And I'm sorry, too. I should've stood my ground and showed her you were mine."
"Well maybe you could show me you're mine later?" He asked with a wink. I blushed and looked down, but he brought my face back up.
"I love you."
"I love you too. Let just walk back to the hotel, it's not that far."
"Okay, but can I have your jacket now?" I asked sweetly.
"Of course." He took off his jean jacket and wrapped it around my shoulders, keeping his arm there. I wrapped my arm around his waist and we walked down the beautiful streets of Paris together.
