(THREE WEEKS LATER...)
(AT LISA AND JEFF'S HOUSE)
(JEFF) Today is my birthday. I told my wife and kids NO PARTY. We just went school shipping for four kids. We went overboard this year (as we do every year).
I walked downstairs
Then I went into the kitchen
"Daddy go back upstairs. You're gonna ruin your surprise.", said Parker
" What surprise?"
"Honey go back upstairs."
"OK."
I walked back upstairs and got back into bed
I wonder what they're up to
Seven minutes later the door opened
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU? HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DADDY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.", sang the kids
Chase brought me my birthday breakfast
Eggs, grits, cheese toast, bacon, and pancakes
Lisa brought in the cupcake with a candle on top of it
" You guys didn't have to do this."
"Daddy you're the best Daddy in the whole world.", said Parker
" Thanks Parker. I apprentice that son."
"Well I have to go to work for a few hours. Jason make sure the kids stay out of trouble. Let your father rest.", said Lisa
"The kids are fine."
"Honey its the weekend and it's your birthday. Rest please."
They all walked out leaving me with my thoughts
I'm almost certain they're up to something
I can feel it
(AT SCOTT'S HOUSE)
(LISA) I didn't have to go in for work. I just told Jeff that. The truth is me, Brian, and Scott all got together and we decided to throw Jeff a lil get together. Just the family.
"Brain did you get the liquor?"
"Yep."
"Scott did you get the meat?"
"Yeah."
"Mom is making the side dishes. All that's left is for me to go pick up the cake from Rose's Bakery. Oh and I have to pick up paper cups, forks, and plates."
Brian brought Tanner with him since Tracy had to work at the shop today.
"Well me and Tanner are gonna go. We gotta go pick up Jeff's present. We'll see y'all in a few."
"Alright brother in law.", said Scott
Steven and Lauren come from downstairs
" Daddy I'm hungry.", said Lauren
"Lauren we're having a party in a few hours. You ate just an hour ago."
"I know, but I'm hungry again."
"I guess y'all can have some cereal."
Lauren and Steven walked into the kitchen
"Guess what sis?"
"What?"
"Guess who called me the other day?"
"Who Chile?"
