                   (AT WESTPOINT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL...)

(JASON) When we got out the car and went inside the hospital, the nurse said they'd put Grams in a room and that the doctors were running some tests on her. A few moments later, Josh arrived to the hospital.

I hugged Josh

"What happened to Grams?", he asked

" I'm not sure. When we walked into the house, we found her lying in the floor. She wasn't moving or anything. I'm scared shitless."

"I can only imagine what could be wrong with Grams. She's always taking care of others and doing so much for the community. For this to happen is beyond anything I could have predicted."

Josh was right. Grams goes out of her way to take care of her friends and loved ones. Maybe all that running around has finally caught up with her. I don't know. I just hope its nothing major. I've lost so much and I almost lost my life a few months ago. I don't think I could live in a world without my grandma.

The elevator opened. Mom and Dad walked off it with Parker, Chase, Lindsay, and Grandma Belinda.

Parker ran up to me

"JASE!!!!!!", he screamed

I picked him up and embraced him in a long hug

" Hey Parker. How ya feeling?"

"I should be asking you that."

"I'm fine despite everything I've been through. I'm just worried about Grams right now."

"She's gonna be OK Jase."

"I hope so lil brother, I hope so."

Everybody took a seat in the waiting room

"Mom do you think you could find out something? You work here."

"Let me go talk to Nurse Angie. Maybe she'll tell me something.", Mom said

Mom walked over to the nurses station

While Mom handled that, Dad came and sat next to me

He put his arm around my shoulder and kissed me on the forehead

" She's gonna pull through son. She's a pillar of strength. "

"I hope so Dad. I can't afford to lose anybody else I love."

Josh sat across from me quiet as a mouse. I wonder what he's thinking about.

Mom came back from the nurses station

"Angie said that they're running some tests on her. The doctor should be coming in soon to give us some news."

All this waiting is pretty exhausting

About 30 minutes later, a doctor walked towards us

"I'm Dr. Hart. Who's the next of kin?", he asked

" Me and my brother Josh."

Me and Josh stood up

"Can we talk in private?", he asked

" Whatever you have to say you can say in front of all of us. We're all family here.", Josh said

"We ran some tests on your grandmother. Her stress levels were very high. Not only that but she hasn't been taking her blood pressure medication."

I'm shocked. Grams usually takes her meds. This isn't like her at all. And I wonder what's been stressing her out.
