"We won! We fucking won!" A jubilant Emilia shook an elated Erik Durm before they looked onto the field where people were jumping over the barrier.

Joshua signaled Max over, who grasped onto Camila, setting her down gently on the other side. He was supposed to help Emilia down as well, but the couple was dragged away by Julian Draxler and his girlfriend.

Emi turned around to see if Erik would want to go down, but he was nowhere to be found. She did notice one figure on the pitch below her, who had a lopsided grin plastered on his dreamy face. He had a hand out for her; a peace offering, and with a nod of her head, Emilia accepted.

The football player clutched her waist tightly before placing her on the ground effortlessly. He wrapped his arms around her body, drawing Emi close to him. Shaking his head in disbelief, the German international buried his head into the crook of her neck.

They stayed in that position for a few moments before Emilia whispered into his ear, "You did it, Leon. You fucking did it."

Sure, she still felt hurt by his actions months prior, but Emilia had forgiven him in her heart a while ago. She wouldn't forget what he did, but she couldn't stay angry at Leon forever.

Tears were cascading down her barely-tanned face, and it took all of Leon's restraint to not kiss the droplets away. The Bayern newbie stood up, his smirk not leaving his face. "I can't believe I'm a world champion. Sure we were one of the favorites, but I really didn't think we'd get this far," Leon kneeled down and covered his face with his hands. With a few more shakes of his head, he peered up at the redhead.

"I know you'll be mad at me for saying this, but knowing you were here today was my inspiration, Emilia," Her name almost felt foreign on his tongue as he hadn't said her name in what seemed like forever.

She sat down next to him, legs spread out on the pitch. "Call me Emi tonight, okay Goretzka?"

Leon cupped her face before planting a kiss on the top of Emilia's head. It had been too long since he had seen her last, and just one look at her brought all of his feelings that he tried to bury deep inside of him back.

He watched her race over to Joshua who was walking their way, tackling him to the ground. Leon followed her, silently laughing to himself the entire way. Yes, it had been six months, but she was exactly same; the exact same girl that Leon fell in love with last year.

"You got it bad, boy," Camila slapped Leon on the back of the head. The Bayern bound boy meant to shove her lightly, but put a little too much 'oomph' on it, sending Camila to the ground.

"Shit, I'm sorry, Mila," He searched around the pitch ensuring that Max didn't see their interaction. Although Max was nearly five inches shorter than him, the Gelsenkirchen boy could guilt trip anyone—and he was quite good at it.

Leon grabbed the singer's hands, pulling her up swiftly. "Don't tell Max please," He practically begged her. "You know how he is."

"Hm," She ran her index finger along her bottom lip, "I guess I won't. But for doing you such a solid, I want a good tour of Munich. Not one of those cheesy ones, but one filled with fun clubs and the best food. You better start researching as soon as you get there, G."

"It'll be on the top of my list, Camila."

Just then, he noticed Joshua Kimmich barreling towards him. Leon tried to steady himself, but still wasn't prepared for the impact. His now club-and-country teammate sent him flying to the ground, falling on top of him.

Leon couldn't help but smile when he noticed Joshua hovering over him, licking his lips. For a moment it looked as if he was going to plant a kiss on his cheek, but instead he questioned, "Remember the last time I did this? When you signed your contract for Bayern? I think it's going to be our thing now."

The curly headed boy shoved his friend off of him before brushing the excess grass from his shorts. "I think that's a bit odd, Kimmie."

"What?" Joshua stepped back, hands up in complete shock. "How could you say such a thing? It's our thing, I've already decided."

"Guess I won't be scoring any goals then," Leon took off sprinting towards their trophy. He hadn't gotten much quality time with it, and wanted to take one of those couple photos everyone on the team was doing with their significant others; he only hoped Emilia would say yes.

He heard footsteps behind him, and was soon embraced by an vivacious Thomas Muller.

"Welcome to the big boys club, Leon! Oh, and to Bayern of course! It'll be a pleasure playing alongside of you," He smiled softly at his wife Lisa before adding, "And you can even come meet our horses! I think they bring me good luck!"

Leon giggled the German striker; he was certainly one of a kind. "I'll have to take you up on that offer, Thomas."

"Really? None of the guys ever come over!"

"Of course I will! I'll even drag Joshua with me!"

Just then, an audible groan was heard behind the two men. "Don't drag me into this, Leon. Last time I went riding with Thomas, he told me he put me on the nicest horse, but I got bucked off after ten minutes of riding! I had to sit out two weeks because I had a concussion!" Joshua explained angrily, clearly traumatized by the incident.

"Don't you dare blame this on, Lila. She's a wonderful horse; you're just a shitty rider, Josh," Thomas wagged a finger at his Bayern counterpart.

"Okay, okay," Leon jumped in-between his teammates before things escalated. "Let's just enjoy today, aright? We're fucking World Cup winners!"

The trio took a group selfie with the trophy on Joshua's phone before they went their separate ways. Leon stood in place, admiring the trophy in his hands as he felt a hand grasp onto his forearm.

"Want me to take a picture of you with it?" Emilia asked, taking her phone out of her purse, ready to become Leon's personal photographer.

"As much as I'd like that, I'd rather take one of us with the trophy," He proposed, and was a bit taken off guard when Emi accepted his offer.

Leon flagged down Mats Hummels, who was more than willing to snap a photo for his new teammate and Emilia, who he was just introduced to. He looked as it he was about to jog off, but turned to the exes instead. "This may be a strange thing to say," The German defender commented, "But you two look really happy together. I know I'll see you in Munich soon, Leon, but I hope to see you there too, Emilia!"

Leon was about to respond, but Mats had already rejoined his son and wife. He glanced down at Emilia, worried about her reaction, but by the look on her face, she was unbothered by his comment.

"Do you remember last time we were in a situation like this?" Emilia rolled her eyes playfully as she felt Leon lace his fingers with her own.

"The Confederations Cup last year," He brought their intertwined hand up to his mouth before kissing it gently.

"So much has changed since then," She mumbled sadly, forcing a smile onto her face.

"But there's one thing that hasn't changed," Leon inhaled sharply, mustering up all of his courage. Placing a finger under Emilia's chin, he raised it up so he was locking eyes with her.

"And what's that?" Emi asked curiously, not wanting to break the connection between the two.

"That even after all this time, I'm still so in love with you."
