So yeah, I kinda have a bit of what Maddie and I refer to as a "mush brain", so being the senseless person I am, I took on Voldy's army with pretty much no backup...

Yeah, that was a mistake...

At least they didn't have Bellatrix with them, right? Yeah, that's an awful argument...

Anyways, after I sent a petrificus totalus at Antonin Dolohov and a levicorpus at Thorfinn Rowle, I found myself in a bit of a sticky situation with the Carrow siblings: Alecto and Amycus.

One unexperienced host versus two very experienced and very deadly death eaters. Maybe a little more than a bit sticky.

Obviously, scales were not tipping in my favor.

I just barely managed to cast a protego totalum before Alecto sent a sectumsempra at me, which subsequently was absorbed by the protective shield I'd put up that surrounded me and Amycus.

Amycus yelled, "Crucio!"

I countered immediately with, "Finite Incantatum!"

The duel continued like that for at least another five minutes until I was tired of it. I yelled, "Screw this. Confundus!" Then I pulled out a dagger and sent it flying towards his chest.

Guess what. Boom goes the dynamite, he was dead in ten seconds.

I stared at his corpse, annoyed out of my mind, "Why didn't I start with that?"

I faintly heard someone yell, "Stuptefy!" Before I knew what was happening, I hit the ground and everything went black.

"Rennervate!"

I sat up quickly as my eyes shot open, temporarily blinded by the sudden light. When they finally adjusted, I saw Carson kneeling beside me, wand out with a concerned look on his face. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I answered quickly, "How long was I out?"

"Just a couple of minutes. Long enough for me to decapitate Alecto with a sword and put up a protective shield."

"Gross, but thanks."

He smiled at that, "Don't mention it."

I rubbed my eyes a little, "Did you at least get rid of the head, or am I gonna go and trip on it later?"

"I kinda used expulso on it..." He shrugged, "I thought it would expel it to the Underworld or something. Turns out it made it explode... Good to know."

"So I won't step on a head, but I might step on an eyeball."

"Yeah, pretty much."

"Nice."

Carson looked up at the battle raging around us, "It's not gonna take them long to realize that I have a barrier up and how to break it down. Are you okay to get back into the fight?"

As he helped me up, I answered, "Better than ever."

"Alright then. I'm taking the barrier down in three... two..."

"Wait." I said suddenly. I turned and pulled him towards me, brushing my lips lightly against his before looking back at the battle, "Okay, now do it."

He looked at me, as if just realizing what happened, "What was that for?"

"I'm probably gonna be dead within the next twenty minutes." I gave him a crooked smile, "Figured I should clear that up beforehand."
