Oliver had no idea what to do. Barry had ran out, and even Oliver could see the hurt in his eyes. Feel the pain in his words.

But he had been about to say exactly what Barry had. So, the pain was unavoidable. Right?

...

Barry looked around.

There. Barry saw him sitting with Mick and Lisa. Ouch.

He shouldn't do this. He shouldn't. But he needed to.

But what if he was yelled at in the morning? What if Snart shouted at him to leave? Would that really be better?

Is there really anyone who would actually sleep with him without an excuse? Without being drunk, without making Barry a rebound, without hurting Barry?

No. There was not a guy in the world. There wasn't.

But what if he didn't look for a male? What if he looked for a female?

Lisa was obviously not what he meant. But someone who actually wanted to be with him? That seemed impossible. But what if it wasn't?

Barry got up. He needed a new bar. One that didn't have his ex's staring at him.

And one that had someone else staring at him...

...

Cisco looked at the screen in confusion. Why did it say Barry went to Star City? Did he actually go to Star City? Cisco would need to ask him.

Meanwhile, Cisco wondered if he could hang out with Lisa. She had been avoiding him lately...

...

Barry walked into the club in style.

Ok, well, not in style, but his style. He wasn't trying to 'be himself'. He just thought they should know what they were getting into.

...

Len always had a problem tailing Barry for obvious reasons. He was wondering what Barry was doing in his bar, so he was going to go ask, but then he left, so Len had to find him.

Or, at least, that was what he was telling himself.

...

Barry sat at a table. He didn't know what to do with his hands, so he tried to put them behind his head, but that failed miserably.

He scanned the room to find a pretty girl in the corner laughing. He blushed and her friends laughed and pointed at him. She faced him, smiling. He blushed an even deeper shade of red.

She walked over, giggling like a mad woman.

"Hi," she said. "My name is Samantha. What's yours?" He realized he was staring. "Oh, uh, sorry. I don't normally have pretty women walk up to me. I'm Barry," he finally managed to get out.

Now she was blushing too. "You can call me Sam if you want," she said. Barry smiled. "You know you're really sweet, but you're not looking for a hookup, right?" Sam smiled even bigger and nodded. "I'm actually just getting out of a relationship. I wasn't looking for a hookup, but my 'friends' convinced me that it was a good idea."

Barry gave her a look. "I'm not really ready to talk about it." She nodded. "I don't like to talk about it either. How about we go to my place and talk about something else?" Barry nodded.

They drove to her place.

...

"Wow. It's really beautiful in here," Barry said as he glanced around. "What, didn't think it would be?" Sam asked, only half-joking. Barry turned. "No. It's even more beautiful than I could have imagined." She smiled. He smiled.

They sat down on the white couch. It was comfier than Barry could have even begun to guess.

They talked for all-hours about crazy stuff and had some champagne. Not enough to get drunk (not that he could), but still.

...

Barry was exhausted going to work, but it was worth it. He was finally going to have a close friend outside of Flash business. It was gonna be heavenly.

Suddenly, he saw someone who immediately changed his mood. Leonard Snart, the one person he didn't want to see.

He was standing next to the entrance, hat covering his face, jacket zipped up all the way. He looked like the person you would pass on the street, but Barry could always recognize that body. For many reasons.

He saw Snart scan everyone who walked in, but he somehow missed Barry.

He knew the exact moment Snart noticed him. He stared a little too long, and a little too hard. And in some places he didn't look on anyone else. Barry would have snorted if it was anyone else.

He immediately looked away to Barry's confusion. Why did he do that? Then he thought back to last week...

Barry was walking into the police station when he saw some weirdo out front. He decided to ignore him, because, well, he wasn't any of Barry's concern. In other words, Barry didn't care.

Barry, looking back, realized that that could have been Snart. Wow. He was good. Really good. Barry would never have guessed. Unless for the fact that he was getting bolder. Barry was actually starting to notice him. Why? Snart was never noticed unless he wanted to be. Did he want Barry to notice him?

Nope. That wasn't possible. Barry couldn't even start to consider that option.

...

Len was watching Barry from a bar stool. He was very good at camouflage, so Barry didn't notice him. He saw the girl pointing and muttering about Barry, so he went to check on it.

"-Hot," Lady Number One said. "Yesssssss," agreed Lady Number Two. "You need to get laid, and he's perfect. He looks sweet, yet strong, and basically perfect for you! You need to at least try." Lady Number One nodded. "Jade's right, Sam. You need to get over Jake, and a hot guy is the best way to do that!" Jade nodded, and Sam frowned. "I hate one-night-stands. I'll hang out with him, but I won't do that to him, Sara." Sara rolled her eyes. "Fine. But at least kiss him for me." Jade giggled.

So Len watched as she strutted over, watched their conversation unfold, and felt his heart shatter. He was too late.
