Barry sat on a park bench. It was the same place he waited anytime he was early. (Which was rare)

In the distance, Barry could see Len approaching. He was smiling and sweating, like he was nervous, but also extremely happy.

When he arrived at the bench, he got down on one knee.

"Barry Allen," he said, and Barry felt amazing. "I'm not normally the romantic type. I don't have romantic feelings either. But you changed that, just like you changed me. I used to be a robber, and I wouldn't hesitate to kill. But you convinced me that I should be different. That I should be more. And I am so grateful for that chance, I can't even tell you.

"You were a hero. You helped me become one. And, now, I just want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you let me? Will you let me become your husband?"

Barry couldn't believe this. "Yes!" he shouted and fling himself into his finance's arms.

...

Barry couldn't believe they were doing this. He was going to have a little girl.

He and Len, together.

His emotions were on overdrive, and he was so happy. She was only 8 years old, soon to be 9, but she was already the most important thing in Barry's life. Today was her first day with them, and Barry couldn't be happier.

His life was amazing.

He was happily engaged, he was about to have a little girl, and that was all he needed to be happy.

...

Note: This was an amazing story to write, but I'm happy it's completed. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed it.

I'm going to have a sequel called Trying to Recover.

Hope you enjoyed!

I just wanted to say, I think the song 'Middle' really represents this story.

ColdFlash out! ;D
