I decided to approach the Kaleb situation with a completely different mind set than what I had planned before. At first, I was going to ask him about what he had one and go off for lying to me about it. But instead, I've decided to just play it cool.

I just didn't even care anymore. And I was noticing more and more that I had no reason to be pressed over a situation that has nothing to do with me.

Maybe he had his reasons for not wanting to tell me? I honestly didn't know, but what I did know was I about to focus on me and my own business.

I just hoped he kept the same energy if it ever came a time where it was the other way around...

"Y'all can just sit the chips and soda over there." Rickie directed us.

April and I walked into Nabora and Rickie's house with a few bags in our hands. We were going to help set up for the pool party.

"Hi Mrs. Gordon." I dropped the groceries off on the kitchen counter and went to give the girls mom a hug. April followed behind.

"Hi sweetness." She pulled me into a warm embrace. She had on some errand clothes and her purse was sitting on the island next to us so I assumed she was getting ready to go out.

Her face lit up as she pulled away and saw April behind me, standing to herself. "April, long time no see. How have you been?" She reached for yet another hug.

"I've been good," April smiled. "Just relaxing until I leave this place."

"Ah ah don't rush it. Savior every moment like it's your last. Because after college, it's adult hood and it ain't fun." She chuckled.

April and I laughed along with her, knowing our parents had said something similar before.

"Well, I'm about to get going. April it was nice see you." She grabbed her belongings, heading towards the front door but not before turning around to say one last thing. "And Atiyya I'm counting on you to make sure Nabora and Rickie don't have none of them little kids running in and out of my house. I only want them coming in to use the bathroom, barely that."

"You got it." I responded, giving her my word. They were nice enough to even allow us to do something like this at their house so it was the least I could do.

"Mama," Nabora walked into the kitchen. "You know Rickie and I are responsible."

"I didn't say y'all weren't, but I know Atiyya will make sure nothing goes wrong. Now if y'all will excuse me, I'm meeting my hubby for lunch." She blew kisses at us and left.

Her and Mr. Gordon were so cute and I loved how they continued to do honeymoon like things after being together for so long. They never became complacent. I hoped for something like that later on in life.

The door slammed, letting us know she had left.

"Where y'all swim suits at?" Nabora asked us.

"We're going to wait until everything is set up." I responded. "What's your excuse?" I gave her outfit a once over. She had on a matching sports bra and shorts set, with some white nike tennis. It was really cute, but not pool attire.
