“What do you want to know Mia?” This was it, my chance to get answers to all the questions that’s been piled up in my head.

I had no idea where to start so I blurted out the first thing in my mind.

“What are you?” I asked with curiosity in my voice.

“I am a vampire”. I was not sure if I heard her right or this was some kind of joke.

“You don’t believe me? Or you don’t want to believe”.

This was it, the moment of truth. My friend is crazy.

“Mia you saw what you saw, you can’t deny it”.

I laughed but even the laughter seemed forced to me. I was in denial, I could not accept there were monsters in this world, and my friend was one of them.

“If you’re a vampire, why did you not burn in the sun?”

“Am a different type of vampire. A gifted”.

“You say it like am suppose to know what that means”.

She rolled her eyes before saying “a gifted is a vampire with powers, like me and Chase”.

I rub my head in confusion “what powers does Chase have?”. “Super strength”.
I nodded, turning my face from her, I asked. “You, what powers do have?”

“I think you know the answer to that”.

“No. No I don’t”. I denied.

Sighing she said “Am a nature vampire. I have the power to control plants or any nature thing”.

As much as it pained me, I could not deny it. I mean I did see her control plants.
I stood to my feet, walking around the small space in the motel room. Putting my hand on my chin, I walked forward and backward a couple of times before stopping. Gosh, I was so confused.

How did things turn out so badly? Yesterday I was a young college student trying to make the best out of school, and today I was kidnapped, nearly killed and thrown into a life of vampires.

Hmm my life just got interesting. Shaking away my bizarre thoughts, I faced my friend. Friend? Yes, vampire or not I still considered her my friend.

“Trisha, chase said something about me being a princess. What did she mean?”

She stood, walked towards me, and took my hands in hers. “Sit, am going to tell you a story”.

We sat on the beds again facing each other. Trisha took a deep breath before she continued. “Long ago before the vampire world was divided, there was a war. Vampires killed vampires without consequences, human bloodshed just for the fun of it. Women, children murdered for nothing but food”.

I flinched at the images running through my head.

“This and many other horrifying things happened until lord Lucien and lord Travis took control over the vampire word”.

“That’s an interesting story but I don’t see what that has to do with me?”

“Maybe If you let me finish the story dear friend, you would see where am going with this”. I rolled my eyes before nodding my head, encouraging her to continue.

“When Lord Lucien took power, he united half of the vampire world to his faction called the Baeryn faction. He was one of the oldest strongest vampires in existence. He was well respected, so it was no surprise how he was able to unite the vampires together. Lord Travis wa- where are you going?"

While she was talking, I had no idea I had gotten up to get myself a bottle of water.

“Oh! Sorry, needed this” I held the bottle of water up for her to see. She stood; walking up to me, she took the bottle of water from me.

“Mia can you be serious. It is very important you know this”.

“And it’s very important I drink this”. I said before snatching the bottle from her hand.

“Look if your memories are to come back faster you need to know this”.

“You know what; you sound a lot like Ana. She would be so proud you’re the responsible one now”.

Ana. Thinking of my friend brought a smile to my face. I looked up at Trisha and the pain in her face made my heart break into a million pieces .Before she said a thing, I knew.

“Please tell me nothing happened to Ana”.

“Am sorry, we were attacked. I tried to save her but there were too many an-”

Before she could finish her words a loud noise was heard outside. I fell to the ground out of shock.

Trisha took hold of my hands, helping me to my feet. We ran outside, hoping to find a way out but instead we met and old friend or should I say enemy.

I know its been long I updated but I finally did update.
