“Are you nervous?”
Trisha asked, nodding my head, I looked around.

“Is this like a castle?” I asked Trisha, referring to how big the place was.

“Yeah, it’s an underground castle. Every faction has a safe house, or in this state a safe castle”.

We walked in silent, until we got to a garden. The garden was beautiful, the flowers were different shades of colour, and you could spend all day and night just admiring the beauty.

The garden was the perfect place for a gathering, and for some reason it looked familiar to me.

“Have I been here before? In my past life?”  I asked, she stopped, and without even turning around, she said.

“Yes”.

“And?”

“This is where you were to wed and where you got killed”.

Oh! Well this was awkward and messed up. I am standing in the holy ground of my death, the dream of every girl.

The beauty of the garden forgotten, I walked as fast as my legs could carry me, away from there.

I had no idea where I was going but I had to keep walking, the more time I spent in the garden, the real my death seemed.

To my right there was a door, and weirdly I knew if I went through, I was leaving the garden.

Following my instinct, I opened the door and stepped through it. Immediately, the sight and smell of the garden was gone, my body relaxed.

“How did you know this was the sire’s room?

Trish asked, confused myself, I answered. “I have no clue, I just wanted to get the hell out of that garden. And this place does seem familiar, like I’ve been here before”.

“You have. You’re starting to remember, slowly, but you’re remembering”.

“Did you know me before, Vanessa, did you know her?”

“Mia, Vanessa is you and your Vanessa. And no, I didn’t get to meet you. I wasn’t turned then”.

“Really, so how old are you?”

laughing she said “Trust me, you don’t want to know”.

But I do. Not saying my thoughts, I let her lead the way. We walked until we sighted a huge blue door in which Trisha knocked slowly.

I guess she does not want the big guy mad. I was surprised there were no guards, considering how important he was.

Maybe his castle was safe enough. The door opened and I stared at the beautiful face, her pale skin, and the brown hair, which curved her face, outshined her beauty.

She was so beautiful, I wasn’t sure if I should be jealous or hug her and hope her beauty rubbed off on me.

Her eyes landed on me and she drew me into a hug. She hugged me so tight, like she was afraid to let me go.

Without thinking, I embraced her too.

“Your back, your finally back”. She kept saying.

She finally let me go but she still held my hands firmly.

“Thank you for bringing her back safely. You don’t know how happy you made me”. She said to Trisha and Trisha nodded.

To me she said. “I have missed you child, come Lucien would be happy to see you”.

She opened the door widely and we stepped inside. The room was large and beautiful, the colours and design screamed rich but elegant.

Although, the room looked familiar, I could not tell what I visited it for.

My admiration for the room was cut short, when I sighted someone.

The man was tall, big, and scary all at once. He exceeded raw alpha power, you could never mistake him for anything less.

“Lucien, she’s back. Our Vanessa’s back”. The brown haired woman said, with a huge smile on her face.

Lucien stared at me silently and during that brief moment, I didn’t know if I should run screaming or hide.

After a few second, he smiled at me and the face I thought was scary wasn’t anymore.

“Come child”. He said to me.

He was a stranger, a vampire but I found myself walking to him. He opened his hands and engulfed me in a big hug, and it felt right.

“It took too long for you to come back, but you’re here”.

He let me go, but still held me close. “I promise you, history will not repeat itself”. He whispered, gently he led me to a sit.

We sat down quietly and he turned his attention to Trisha.

“You brought her back safely, thank you”.

To that, Trisha simply nodded.

“Am sure your hungry and tired, you should rest and then we talk”.

“No, please I have so many questions. What I want is answers”.

“And you will get your answers, after you rest and eat”. Sighing I nodded.

“Good, Serena, show them their rooms. The brown haired, also known as Serena, nodded before leading us away from the room.
