“What the hell do you mean by my sire? Am no vampire”. I yelled at her.
“Not yet”. She whispered back.
Ignoring her answer, I walked as fast as I could.
“How do we get there?”
“We hitch a ride. Am sure we can find someone willing to give us one”.
“And if we don’t?”
“Then I’ll make that someone give us a ride”.
“You’re scary when you get like that”.
“Like how?”.
“Never mind, just concentrate on getting us out of here”. I said, referring to the forest around us.
“Am in no rush to leave here, it’s so peaceful and you can feel and smell the nature around you”.
“The only thing I smell is dirt and dirt, did I mention dirt?”
“Yes you did, I hear something”.
I strained my ear, trying to hear something but I heard nothing, nothing but our footsteps. “I don’t hear anything”.
“Of course you don’t, you’re not a vampire. I have better hearing than you”.
“What exactly do you hear?” I asked.
stopping on her tracks, she said. “A car, a car’s coming”.
She ran with vampire speed to the front of the vehicle, standing still, she waited for the driver to detect her. Immediately the driver noticed her, he hit break, which luckily for Trisha, the car stopped five feet from her.
The driver stepped out of his car, heading straight to Trisha.
“You crazy bitch, I nearly killed you. What kind of normal person stands in front of a moving car? Do you have a death wish or something?” He yelled out, I had to agree with him, Trisha is crazy.
Do not get me wrong! I love Trisha but who willingly works in front of a moving car.
She slowly walked to him, looking him in the eyes, she said. “My name is Trisha and that’s my friend Mia. We need a ride and you are going to nicely offer us one. You will take us to wherever we want to go and after that, you won’t remember us or anything we said or did”.
The man nodded slowly before smiling at us. I slowly but carefully walked up to Trisha.
“Hello am Harry, you nice ladies need a ride?”
“Why thank you, we sure do”. Trisha smiled at him before getting into the car.
I, on the other hand, nodded gratefully before hopping into the car.
I leaned to Trisha and whispered. “What the hell did you do to him?”
“Compulsion, all vampires have the gift to make a human do whatever they want”.
I nodded, this vampire thing was starting to come in handy. Harry started the vehicle and we were on the road.
“Where are we headed?” I asked Trisha.
“To see a friend, he can teleport us back home”.
She kept saying home, like being in a vampire nest was something I was looking forward to.
“I need to feed”. Trish whispered out.
Ignoring her, I looked out the window. We stayed in silence all through the ride, and I could not help but wonder how meeting my sire would be like.
Would he be nice? Considering his an old vampire, I really doubt he would nice, or at least not me.
“What’s going on in that little head of yours?” Trish asked.
“Nothing, am just wondering how it would be to meet the sire”.
“Don’t worry, he loves you, he always did".
Before I could reply to that, she said to Harry. “Stop here”.
Like a boy following his mother’s orders, he stopped. We got out of the car and Harry immediately drove off.
We walked into a log cabin in the woods. The cabin was so small and well hidden, that if you didn’t look well, you would not know there was something there.
“Stay behind me”. Trisha commanded, she stood in front of me protectively.
“Stop playing games and come out Nate, I don’t have all day”. Trisha yelled at no one, or no one I could see.
Not less than a minute, a person stepped out of the shadows. The first thing I noticed was the hair, it was black, and short. His skin was pale as any vampire and his eyes were midnight blue. He wore faded blue jeans with a black jacket.
“You’re no fun” He glanced at me before turning back to Trisha
“Did you bring me a gift?”
“No. I need you to teleport us back to the nest”.
“Do you mean me and you?”
“No, I mean me and her”.
“You want me to teleport a human to the nest, you must really hate me”.
“She’s not any human. She is Vanessa, Lord Travis anchor, sire’s heir”.
“Ah, that Vanessa, well that changes everything”. In a blink of an eye, he was before, starring at me, as if he knew the secret to my soul.
“Don’t scare her Nate”. Trisha warned.
Still staring at me, he said.
“I would never. You are more beautiful than I could imagine, it makes me wish I was turned before you’re death. Then I could have had a glimpse of your beauty”. He smiled at me, taking my hands with one hand, he used the other to smoothly touch my face slowly.“Well, not to ruin your moment Nate but you should teleport us now. You ready Mia?”
I cleared my throat, waking from a trance and nodded. Taking that as an answer, she grabbed Nate hands and I felt a tingling feeling in my stomach. Just like that we were in a different place.
Nate let go of me and stepped back. “I guess I will be seeing you girls around, and like that, he was gone.
“Now, let’s go see our sire”. And with that, we were walking to the direction of my sire.
