" No, it's in your genes. I know you can act well. Tomorrow you will rock it on your first assignment, " Avantika insisted, her voice filled with encouragement.

" Mom, you convinced Rohit sir for my audition, but seriously, I can't do this. I will surely let you down, " Monika replied, her voice trembling with doubt.

" Don't say that. Be positive, okay? " Avantika urged, her eyes shining with determination.

Monika was trying her best to prepare for the audition, but acting was not her forte. It was a struggle for her, an uphill battle that seemed insurmountable. Despite her reservations, she went for another photo shoot that her mother had arranged.

The day passed in a blur, and soon it was the day of her audition.

"**Dekho yeh sab mere dil me nahi tha, woh jo tha woh...**"

" Cut it! " Rohit, the director, announced, his voice sharp with frustration.

" Monika, what are you doing? This is your fifth take. Don't be nervous, okay? Just feel it and say it," he instructed, trying to encourage her.

Monika nodded, taking a deep breath as she prepared herself for another attempt.

" Roll, camera, and action. Take six," the assistant director called out.

Monika closed her eyes for a moment, gathering all her courage, and began again.

" Dekho yeh sab Jo tum Samjh rahe ho woh mere dil me nahi tha, Jo tum Samjh nahi rahe wohi toh mai tum tumhe samjhane k koshih kr rahi hun. "

" Cut. It's better than the first, but you need to keep trying, okay? For now, you can go home," Rohit said, his voice a mix of encouragement and resignation.

Monika took her bag and walked out, taking a breath of relief that the torturous ordeal had ended. But if she couldn't enjoy it, how would she work under such stress, constantly out of her comfort zone?

Whatever, what could she do now? She had to deal with it. After a few more photoshoots, she went home, where a very tense Avantika was waiting for her.

" Oh my God, Monika, what have you done in your audition? " Avantika exclaimed as soon as Monika walked through the door.

" I tried my best, Mom! " Monika replied, her voice tinged with frustration.

" Baby, that was not the best. Rohit told me that you're not ready. "

Monika knew it. She was definitely not ready. But as situations arose, she had to tackle them somehow. And like this, Monika lost many important projects because of her immature acting skills.

One day, Avantika's frustration boiled over. " What should I do with you, Monika? You can't even say a simple dialogue. I tried my best to get some work for you, but you're failing horribly. "

" I don't know, Mom! What do they want from me? They don't find my acting convincing," Monika replied, her voice strained.

Monika's stress level grew higher with each rejection. But then, Avantika signed a deal for Monika where she wouldn't have to give an audition. 

" Monika, this is the best I can do for you. Now you have to give your best," Avantika said firmly.

" Yeah, I will, but... " Monika began to protest.

" No ifs and buts, " Avantika interrupted.

Monika had her suspicions about the project, and they proved to be well-founded. It was a film by Kita Kapoor, known for making bold movies. Despite her initial hesitation, Monika accepted Kita's offer to start her career.
