Chapter 52

Autumn

Trying to be sneaky is like a twelve hour job I swear. Parking the car in the garage I made sure I didn't close it , just in case Xzavier's still up and wants to know where I been.

I went through the back door seeing as it was unlocked and I didn't have to use the key and make any noise. I think I'm starting to get good at this , I only have to go to the-

"Kitten"

Shit! I was almost up the stairs now I have to deal with this. Shoot me now.

"Hi baby" I said excitedly trying not to sound suspicious.

"Where were you autumn" He sighed and rubbed his face , I could tell he was stressed and from the numerous text and calls I've received from him since I've left I know he isn't happy with me right now.

"Well , I was hungry and you know how I get when I'm hungry. I brought you something back" I raised up the bag tying to brighten his smile but he still had that stern look upon his face.

"Autumn I-" thank you lord for phones , my phone cut Xzavier off from the speech he was about to give me. Without thinking I rushed and picked up eager to get from the conversation I was bound to have with Xzavier and his bitchy attitude.

"Hello" I said politely while Xzavier stood In front of me mouthing 'this isn't over' I rolled my eyes and looked down at the floor.

Of course he wouldn't let it go.

"...uh H-hi autumn this is Heather"

"Oh.. um hi?" I didn't know why she would call me , I never thought she would call me after all that's happened.

"I know your wondering why I'm calling and I have a good enough reason"

"Okay?" I said slowly wanting her to get to the point already instead of prolonging it.

"Matt has been... in an accident, he keeps asking for you so I thought you should know..." she trailed off.

I couldn't believe Matt was in an accident. Was it the night that me and Xzavier broke up? Is that why I haven't seen him since?

My mind was racing and my heart thumped in my chest, I didn't want him hurt even though he was being an ass at my party I will always care about his well-being.

"Is he okay?" My voice was full of worry and concern for Matt.

"I think you should come to the hospital... if you can , he's asking for you"

"Of course , I'll be right there" we hung up the phone. I wanted to know if he was alright but I couldn't deal with Xzavier right now , I know what he'll say if he knew I was going to see Matt but I couldn't lie to him.

I grabbed his keys once again but of course he stopped to ask me where I was going.

"Matt is in the hospital and he's asking to see me" I told him honestly, his face a an emotion in between anger and calm and I know how this could only end.

"Well he's okay he doesn't need to see you"

"But he was hurt Xzavier I just wanted to-"

"No autumn" his voice was stern and demanding but I wasn't going to back down, I mean when do I ever?

"I am Xzavier and that's final he would've did the same for me and as a-"

"As a what?! Because your nothing to him and you'll never be anything to him, have you forgot he was the one to ruined your birthday!" He was right but still I'm not going to hold that grudge on him , I wasn't going to hold any grudges with him because I know when I needed it he was always there.
