"Marry me." He said bluntly. Not even in the form of a question, instead he said it like a pure and genuine wish. I stood there for what felt like an eternity not saying a word.

"Tristan." He tried to snap me out of the daze I had drifted into. I looked at him and met his gaze.

"Will you marry me Tristan?"

I still couldn't answer no matter how hard I tried to make myself. I just looked at him and replayed his question in my head. Then it hit me. And I knew.

"Yes." I responded. A smile crept across his beautiful face. "I'll marry you Sodapop Curtis." I laughed and slung me around and then kissed me passionately.

Soda and I went home and told the boys. They were all ecstatic to hear about our engagement. We were determined to get married as soon as possible. Of course we didn't have much time, we soon found out that soda would be drafted in two weeks. I had two weeks. And that was it.

"So do you all just want to sign the papers and then have a little part here or what? We can't afford an actual wedding." I said addressing the issue to the whole gang.

"I like that idea." Johnny agreed. "I mean, we watch ya both become official and then we can throw our own wedding here."

"I love that! I can be the best man, right Soda?" Steve asked.

"Actually, Ponyboy is gonna be my best man." Soda looked at Pony and he was grinning huge.

"Well what about Darrel?" Two-bit chimed in.

"Yeah what about Darrel?" Darry asked in a slightly offended tone.

"Darry, Soda and I talked about this and I was hoping you'd walk me down the isle?" Darry face changed immediately and he smiled at me similar to how Pony grinned at Sodapop.

"Tristan it would be an honor." He hugged me and I hugged him as well.

"The rest of you will be groomsmen." I explained.

"Well you aren't gonna have any bridesmaids?" Ponyboy asked.

"I have a girl I want to ask." I said.

As we finished up the details I made my way to Bucks place. I knew I wanted to ask Holly. Her and I were close when I was dating Dally and even though we've grown apart over the past few months, I want her in my wedding.

I knocked four times and then stood waiting for one of the members of the house to answer the door.

"What do you need?" Buck asked.

"Can I see Holly?"

"One second."

I wanted and then she came to the door and when she saw me she had a sad look on her face.

"Holly I know. We were close and then I just left without even saying anything to you. I'm sorry. But I'm engaged and I want you to be there. And not even just be there but I want you to be in my wedding. I want you to be my maid of honor." I blurted our all at once.

She tried to stay serious but her beautiful smile appeared and she threw her arms around me. "Okay Sunshine I'll be your maid of honor!" She squeezed me again and I knew I had gotten an old friend back. Back for good.

 Back for good
