Chapter 36

I smiled to myself and walked out as I placed my mask on. I looked around in confusion that everyone was gone. I pulled out my phone and texted Keith.

Skye: Where are you

Keith: Vikk didn't want to wait around for you so she took the keys and left. We had to go with her or we'd have no way to get there.

Keith: Sorry Little Miss

Skye: Of course it was Vikk

Skye: Well np dude. I don't blame u guys for her.

Skye: B there a little late. Ok?

Keith: K

I took a few buses to a stop about a quarter mile from the property gates of the manor. I texted Yamato to drive me the rest of the way to the manor. While I was there I grabbed the keys to my blue Bugatti Chiron and said goodbye to the servants. I drove over to the masquerade and slipped my keys into my purse. I took out the fan and covered the bottom half of my face as I walked through the crowned quietly. Eyes were all on me and I could hear the crowd murmuring many questions among themselves as the music played. The songs switched and they began to pair off into slow dances.

"May I have this dance?" a man asked me in a bow with a hand out

I gave a small nod and took his hand while I slipped my fan into my bag. We began to dance across the floor. Mesmerized looks fell upon me as people mumbled things such as "She's so beautiful" and "She has such grace". At the same time jealous eyes fell upon the man I was dancing with. Eventually, I was pulled to a back room where I sat alone and signed autographs, talked with fans, etc. The night seemed to drag on but eventually ended and I was finally able to get back to my car. The entire night, I hadn't ran into any of my bandmates but it didn't really matter all to much. This was a charity event and I loved to be with my fans but the entire atmosphere was exhausting and draining to me so leaving was such a relief. I placed the keys into the ignition and drove back to the dorm. When I walked in I was surprised to see everyone hanging out in the room again but was too tired to care. They looked at me with confusion but it quickly changed to surprise when I removed my mask.

"Skye?" Rei asked "Why to you look like you just stepped out of the Victorian Era?"

"Charity masquerade." I said tiredly and stripped, not caring they were all there

"Skye!" Rin yelled "There's people here."

I glared at him.

"They  can deal with it or they can get out." I hissed "I'm drained in more ways than one."

I finished taking off my clothes, finally able to breath again now that the corset dress was off, and looked for pj's.
