To say that Stanley was surprised when every door was unlocked would have been an understatement, it even made him slightly paranoid with each door he opened and entered, what was the voice, I mean Narrator planning?

And why did Kevin seem to stare at him when he thought Stanley wasn't looking?

He had to be honest, Kevin was really starting to creep him out, and that put him off from talking to the guy properly, the man's face clearly screamed something to him but for the life of Stanley, he had no idea what it was. And he certainly wasn't going to ask the guy why he was staring at him when his back was turned.

That would have made a great conversation wouldn't it?

Then there was the time where Kevin 'conveniently' found a storage full of food in the warehouse and brought it to the kitchen (a place where he could not reach when the Narrator was in control).

And let's not forget what happened when they decided to rest for a moment, Stanley got tired far too quickly for his liking and Kevin had suggested he take a break for a moment while he looked around and looked for an exit.

Stanley had been too tired to care and collapsed on the sofa in the lounge feeling like he had been dragged by the shirt on a concrete pavement. He was about to fall asleep until he felt something run through his hair and something warm on his cheek.

It took all of his will power not to move or say anything.

"Sleep well, Stanley"

Before he succumbed to sleep, Stanley could have sworn he heard the Narrators voice mixed with Kevins voice. And if he was honest with himself, he actually missed hearing that British b*stards voice.

So why was he so bent on staying near Kevin even though he didn't trust him?

"This is getting beyond ridiculous now" Kevin groaned "you'd think there would be a main door somewhere, how could the door I come from turn into an office door?"

"I stopped wondering how this building worked ages ago" Stanley wrote on his paper "plus this building is the equivalent of a haunted house"

It had been more than 24 hours now (weirdly enough the clocks worked properly so Stanley was able to track time) and they were no close to finding the exit. Kevin was starting to get frustrated about the whole ordeal.

And speaking of Kevin, he had frowned as he looked at the paper Stanley had just written, as if it had offended him somehow "I'm afraid I've never seen a 'haunted house' before, though if I recall correctly, isn't that a place where they try to scare you by something called 'jump scares'?"

"Yes, although they also have people dress up from time to time to make it more life like" Stanley replied, he wasn't that surprised that Kevin didn't know about haunted houses, last time he checked there had been a few countries who had never heard of it before, he just couldn't recall which ones they were.

"How are you feeling by the way?" Kevin asked cautiously.

"Fine, surprisingly" it was the truth, Stanley couldn't remember the last time he had ever felt content after being stuck in this place for so long. Even if Kevin gave him goose bumps every now and again.

"Good, that's, great" Kevin looked awkward for a moment "if you don't mind me asking, how come you are the only person here?"

Stanley had been expecting this question after he had refused the second time, he had just hoped it would have been taken longer before Kevin tried again.

"I doubt you would believe me even if I did tell you"

He saw Kevin frown again before sighing "what else could be weird than disappearing people, fresh food and a building with a plain white scenery outside for a sky?"
