Chapter 3: Line-up

•2 hours later•

"So. We have Stark, Dr. Banner, Captain Rogers and Natasha." I listed all the members of our little team.

"Oh and Clint once we get him back. Aaaaannnnddd..... Me." I added.

Fury and I were now sitting at the conference table in the main room of the Hellicarrier, where all of the agents

would sit once we were up in the air.

"Yes. Tundra can be your new superhero name!" He said, teasing me.

"Oh god no! Just call me 'Agent' or 'Agent Regan' or something!" I whined

"That's why you have a code name! So you can use it! So stop complaining!" Fury exclaimed, ending the conversation.

He changed the subject instantly.

"Agent Romanoff will get Banner, Coulson will get Stark, and I'll get Captain Rogers." Fury concluded.

"Okay. What should I do?" I agreed and asked, even though I'd been the absolute biggest Captain America fan since my dad first told me stories about him when I was 4. My grandmother had been an SSR agent during the war, and met him, Bucky, the Howling Commandos, everyone. And obviously, she had told her children and grandchildren about all of it.

"Wait and watch." He replied.

"You might gain a few friends!" He mocked, knowing how anti-social I was.

As he walked started walking out of the room, I gave into my obsessive fangirl self.

"Wait!" I shouted to Fury, and he turned around. I took a breath and stood from the table.

"Can I go get Captain Rogers?" I asked. "I mean... It'll probably be more comfortable for him. No offense, but I don't think he'll wanna see the dude that was planning on locking him in a metal box after 70 years."

"And this has nothing to do with all the stories that you've heard from your father and grandmother?" He asked. He knew me well enough by now, with my grandmother being one of the first to join S.H.I.E.L.D and both my parents being retired S.H.I.E.L.D agents.

"You know sometimes I really don't like you." I said sarcastically. He smiled, but rolled his eyes and shook his head at my apparent ridiculousness.

"Fine. But you better get going."

I tried to hold back my smile as I walked toward the landing strip. "Thanks!" I said happily.

"Be careful, don't scare him off!" Fury yelled as I turned the corner down the hall.
