I packed my kit and ran in front of the floor length mirror with a scarf clutched in my one hand and my darling heels in the other.

I was running late.

'ZASH!'

He was shouting from downstairs.

Ya Allah what's eating him now...

'Hey lazy cow.', his face appeared from the ajar door and I yelped.

'Shut up. Idiot. You must knock first.', I huffed and slipped my feet in the pumps.

'Why what were you upto....??', he singed and stepped and nearly fainted at the sight of mini mountain of clothes on my bedding.

'You're sick.', he announced shaking his head.

'By the way, your cab has arrived.'

'What? why? didn't you tell me before.', I yelped and took hold of my belongings.

Jerk

And he made a face that screamed that's why I 'm here.

Shooo he's wasting my time.

I flew down the stairs and in next minute I was in the cab.

Phew that was fast.

Today was my first day at work.

I didn't want give them any reason to think ill of me.

The way they fired questions in the interview took me really by surprise.

The cab halted pushing my senses out of my reverie.

The hotel was huge and its vibrancy stimulated my adrenaline, kicking my motor units into action.

I told the receptionist my name and she called someone asking me to wait.

A blondie appeared in an office attire with a clean professional smile.

'Hi I'm Eva Mitchell, I'm going to assist you for the day.'

Such a static voice. She must've practiced it a lot. Wow.

She took me to the places that I had already seen and I kick started with the smallest corner.

'Do you want something Maa'm?', she asked me while I was taking pictures of the site.

'No Cass I'm good.', I said and immediately regretted it.

'Sorry umm Eva.'

And this made me realize that I missed Cassandra.

Although she was non-muslim but still I admired her. She was a nice girl.

'No problem Maa'm.'

'Do you know my name?', I asked while inspecting my shots.

'Yes Maa'm.'

'What is it?'

'Zasha Ahmed, Maa'm.', she was responding without any obstruction.

Wow.

'Then call me by that.', I said smiling her way and she nodded looking down.

'I'm not your boss or any other stupid stuff and plus Maa'm makes me feel like I'm a Forty something lady.', I said laughing at my own joke at the end and she just smiled.

'Let's get this done.', I singed while sitting down on the empty hallway floor with wall at my back.

'I can arrange table for you here.', she said taking out her phone.
