7 nights later

She frowned in her deep slumber that caught his eye.

'Zaid.', he exclaimed at a very much sleeping Zaid who mumbled something incoherent at his call.

'Zasha!', he called her impatiently.

She stiffened and her lips wobbled.

'Zaid! Up already.', he shouted at him.

'What's gotten into you?', he murmured in his sleep.

Her head bobbed and she mumbled something.

'Zasha!', Musa called her again.

She was trying to open her eyes but it felt impossible to her.
Musa ran and closed the lights of the room leaving only a dim bulb alive.

On his way back to her, he slapped Zaid's back to which he jerked up and ran after him.

'Zash!', he smiled at her baby sister and she opened her eyes.

'Zaid.', her voice cracked.

'Zash!', he said and kissed her forehead.

Musa was in an utter state of disbelief.

'They don't come back.'

Zaki's voice rang in his ears.

But here she was.
Back again.
Talking again.

He wanted to bring Zaki here and punch him for saying such dubious things and show him that she was back.

'Zasha!', he exclaimed with joy and wanted to kiss the hell out of her.

Her eyes slowly registered his presence and she frowned.
She looked around her not so familiar room.

'What is this place?', she whispered oh so quietly that Musa couldn't get it but Zaid was more closer to her.

'We're in a hospital. You're fine.', Zaid smiled and tapped her nose.

Realization washed over features after good minutes and her face distorted.

Tears brimmed in her eyes and flowed down in her hairline.

'Don't cry.', Zaid shook his head and kissed the area between her eyes.

She shook her head violently and cried harder, one of the machine started beeping loudly and Musa pressed the button at the bed side that alarmed the doctors.

They came inside and switched on the lights to which she flinched.

'How're you feeling now?', he asked.

'Fantastic',she murmured sarcastically.

'Other than the fact that my head and chest are gnawing at me like a real bitch, I feel fantastic.', she said slowly and panted.

She was heaving loudly by the time she was done ranting and the doctor made her wear her oxygen mask.

'You need to talk less if you don't want that to happen more often.', the doctor said in a clipped tone.

She closed her eyes feeling tired all of a sudden.

Musa and Zaid stayed glued to their spots listening to the doctor as he assessed her memory.

She was good in that department.

'Who got me here?', she asked behind her mask as the doctor left.

Zaid restored towards Musa who was  standing in the doorway with his hands pocketed.

She looked at him and their eyes were locked.
She gestured Zaid to push up the bed so she could sit. And he obeyed.
