Kuwait was a pivotal player in my life. Ever since I came here my life gave me exciting fruits to cherish on.
My phone brought me out of my reverie.
'Ms. Zasha Ahmed?'
'Yes. How can I help you?', I said as I struggled with the coffee machine.
'Mr. Musa wants to arrange a meeting with you.', the cup slipped from my hand clattering on the counter.
What?Why?
'Okay. Do I have the liberty to ask why?', I sounded calm but only I knew my hands originated a waterfall of sweat.
'Well he just wants to talk to you over regarding work.', her static voice came.
Before killing the call I affirmed and was now in my room with my wardrobe dispersed all over my bed.
Again.
Nothing to wear yet my wardrobe puked every time I opened it.
Misery is real. Period.
After a whole of an hour I agreed with the mint top and black tapers.
Following the shower I slipped into them with a matching scarf and naive peach heels.
Yeah I bought them a week ago and I love them.
Draping the scarf around my face I looked at the time.
Still half an hour left.I applied considerable amount of mascara and gloss while debated over the blush on.
Yay or nay.
Hell yeah.
I gave myself a last look in the mirror and was out in the sun with my shades on.
I hailed the cab and in a matter of few minutes was in front of Pepper-Steak house.
Yeah that's what she told me on the phone.I entered and a man approached me with his business smile.
'Hello mam, do you have a reservation?'
'Uhh yeah, Zaid and Musa?', it came out more like a question.
He smiled and asked me to follow with a bowed head.
I followed his footsteps not before taking in my surroundings.
It was vast and a bit dark but in a good way.
Dimly lit.And a bit crowded too.
But he led me towards an illuminated staircase that seemed out of this world. My heels clinked on its glass steps and I'm sure as hell that I must have giggled coz that man looked over at his shoulder and smiled.
